Please do not edit an Articles for Deletion page when it already has been closed, as you did with Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Religious rivalry in Glasgow. If you wish to challenge the outcome of the discussion, use deletion review. Kimchi.sg 03:20, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The above IP was indeed an open proxy. Tagged and bagged. Thanks. --GraemeL (talk) 00:47, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of user page

[edit]

Please check out How do I delete my user and user talk pages?: "As a matter of practice User talk pages are generally not deleted, barring legal threats or other grievous violations that have to be removed for legal reasons". I advise you to keep your page as it is. OK, simple requests, I agree and nothing is going to be held against you for a misunderstanding, so there is no need to worry. Thanks for fixing the error in this page. Although I did not insert the "revisionism" you referred to in your edit summary, it had survived my edit as I didn't check the ref as you did. Well done for improving the article! --Guinnog 12:26, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Graham Spiers, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Graham Spiers. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Colonel Warden (talk) 15:19, 15 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedian in Residence at the National Library of Scotland

[edit]

I'm just dropping you a quick note about a new Wikipedian in Residence job that's opened up at the National Library of Scotland. There're more details at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Scotland#Wikimedian in Residence at the National Library of Scotland. Richard Symonds (WMUK) (talk) 14:52, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article Feedback Tool update

[edit]

Hey TKK. I'm contacting you because you're involved in the Article Feedback Tool in some way, either as a previous newsletter recipient or as an active user of the system. As you might have heard, a user recently anonymously disabled the feedback tool on 2,000 pages. We were unable to track or prevent this due to the lack of logging feature in AFT5. We're deeply sorry for this, as we know that quite a few users found the software very useful, and were using it on their articles.

We've now re-released the software, with the addition of a logging feature and restrictions on the ability to disable. Obviously, we're not going to automatically re-enable it on each article—we don't want to create a situation where it was enabled by users who have now moved on, and feedback would sit there unattended—but if you're interested in enabling it for your articles, it's pretty simple to do. Just go to the article you want to enable it on, click the "request feedback" link in the toolbox in the sidebar, and AFT5 will be enabled for that article.

Again, we're very sorry about this issue; hopefully it'll be smooth sailing after this :). If you have any questions, just drop them at the talkpage. Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) 21:40, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Wiki meet

[edit]

Hi, you are cordially invited to our next ScotWiki meetup. The National Library of Scotland is extremely accessible via train for those travelling from outside the city, and via bus for Edinburgh residents. Its visitor centre offers food, drinks, and WiFi and should give us plenty of room to meet and have a chat after work!

Join the ScotWiki Mailing list!

If you can't attend this meetup, but are interested in possibly attending other Wikimedia events in Scotland, or want to keep track of what's going on in the Scottish World of Wiki, join the ScotWiki Mailing List now!

Hopefully see you there, Stinglehammer (talk) 11:26, 2 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
