iPod nano
Have you even bothered to read Wikipedia:Manual of Style (trademarks)? It is talking about the first letter of a trademark. Like the "i" in "iPod nano". Or the "e" in "eBay".
Please note also that the page makes explicit mention of exceptions for names that capitalise the second letter instead such as iPod or eBay... Lowercased trademarks with internal capitals do not need to be capitalized if the second letter is capitalized AlistairMcMillan 00:05, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
- I don't care about Game Boy Micro. The Wikipedia:Manual of Style (trademarks) page clearly states Lowercased trademarks with internal capitals do not need to be capitalized if the second letter is capitalized and the second letter of "iPod nano" is clearly capitalized. What more do you want? AlistairMcMillan 00:10, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
- If you really think iPod nano belongs at iPod Nano, then what about iPod mini, iPod photo, iPod shuffle and Mac mini? AlistairMcMillan 00:21, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Sonic 3D
Please stop vandalizing the Flickies' Island page - this is the English wikipedia, not the US wikipedia. The game was developed in Britain, where it was named Sonic 3D: Flickie's Island. It was retitled only for it's American release - in all other regions the game was (and still is) titled Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island (even the PC port).—Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.138.89.130 (talk • contribs)
Edit summaries
I'm writing because I just noticed that on your AfD-listing for Grand Cities Mall, you did not provide an edit summary. Summaries are extremely helpful to your fellow editors and are alsosomething that many people who vote on RfA concern themselves with if administrator status is something you would like to consider in the future. I did not check whether this were an anomaly or your usual method of contribution. Indeed, you don't have to use the summary at all if you don't want to. I do want to make you aware that there is an option in "my preferences" that will prevent you from accidentally saving an edit without a summary. If you'd like to improve your summary rate, that may be helpful to you. Erechtheus 01:08, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. I did it all the time before enabling the option I mentioned. Sorry for the longwinded comment. :) Erechtheus 01:10, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

no way out
Dont you dare call me a lousy vandal ity isnt my fault you find it so hard to accept someone else editting the page. You havent given a reason, you have ignored everything i have said the oh it the dvd cover isnt a reason, the fact is all the other pictures are also of the promtional poster for that year, so you cant use the excuses you havent been, the poster is been used by wwe it is on there website and even they say it for no way out no where on wwe.com do they say the one you so badly want up is the picture for that year.Lil crazy thing 21:20, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
will you actually listen to what i say for once, all the other picture are also the promtional poster picture so you cant use the we use the dvd vhs cover for consistancy, cos i can say the exact same thing for the poster, and the fact is no where does it say you have to make pictures have consistancy so it doesnt matter and seeing as wwe.com and everywhere you look, its the randy poster used that should be the one, you just cant handle the fact someone else has editted the pageLil crazy thing 21:27, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
the nwo poster for 2004 had eddie on it so you got that wrong, i stick with it, you cant face someone else editting the page, no where does it say pictures have to be consistant, someone aint gonna go oh my god i cant look at this picture because its not like the rest, thats just rubbish you give people to hope they stop editting the page Lil crazy thing 21:36, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
that picture is the poster, it isnt taken from the match its a manipulated picture, if you dont believe me heres the proof [1] all the other pictures are the posters as ive said before, so the rubbish your trying to give me doesnt work as keeping the page consistance would be using the OFFICIAL poster realesed and also used by wwe.com using for the actual programme Lil crazy thing 21:46, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
it does because it shows there all the official posters used by wwe and wwe.com apart from that one, so it does matter, as i said before you cant use that excuse remaining consistance cos technically it doesnt, remaining consistance would be using the randy picture which you cant except as i've proved you wrong Lil crazy thing 21:51, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
i have, you thought you was being smart saying about the 2005 poster when you was wrong, me the bull headed one i dont think so, you cant except that the page isnt consistance with using a dvd cover for 2006 while all the other years are using the promtional poster which you wont accept for 2006 that would make the article consistant. You so badly want the page to be consistant yet it isnt using the dvd cover whcih your whole argument is based over. You want that to be used cos you cant face the fact someone has shown you that you arent right, this isnt about who can get who on each others side, the facts is also you and him cant accept others editting the page, the history shows thatLil crazy thing 22:00, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
Hawthorn Middle School North
Hi TJ Spyke, I wanted to let you know that I removed the prod template that you placed on the above article, based on the outcome of recent AfD discussions regarding schools, such as Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Annieville Elementary School. Regards, Accurizer 02:29, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Could you take another look at the article to see if it still reads like an ad? If so, can you help me change that?

Sabu
Hello, TJ Spyke. I am sorry that you are upset about the move of the Sabu article. I hope that this does not sound fake, as I am truly concerned. I do my best to not upset people, but when performing administrative tasks, there are bound to be disagreements, confusion and hurt feelings. In this case, if the article had not been moved, I would have almost certainly heard from the other side, given how strongly some of them feel about it.
A several factors went into my decision regarding the move. When closing the first requested move, I moved the article from Terry Brunk to Sabu. However, the consensus had been to move the article to Sabu (wrestler). I moved it to Sabu instead because Sabu was a redirect to Terry Brunk at the time. In closing the move request, I mentioned the liberty that I was taking and said that if people wanted Sabu to be a disambiguation page to let me know. If they had, I would have moved the article to Sabu (wrestler), which was the consensus in the move request.
Later, four people, ENeville, DuncanHill, Beardo and Nunh-huh, expressed support for moving the article from Sabu to Sabu (wrestler), while you were the only objector. The reason why their votes are not all on the survey is that it was placed there after they made their comments. Even if the other people are not counted, it is still two to one in favor of the move, counting the nominator. However, if only the nominator, the other supporter who voted in the survey and you had discussed the move, I probably would not have made it and definitely would not have made it on that alone, which I did not do anyway. That kind of turnout (three people) is about average, which makes it difficult for those admins who help out at requested moves to make decisions. I usually go by the majority, even if it is slim, as long as they have at least two more votes than the other side (three or four, if the turnout is large). If the 80% or so AfD and RfA rule was used, it would be very difficult to have an article get moved, especially due to the low turnouts. A single objection would block all moves unless at least four other people supported the move (5 total), which would be a bigger turnout than most moves, and two objections would require eight other people to support the move (10 total), a bigger turnout than the vast majority of moves. Finally, the barrier for moving articles is lower than for deletion. Most moves do not require admin participation at all.
It is helpful when there is a naming convention to factor in, but the only one I knew of that would have applied in this case is whether one usage is by far the most common. That can be difficult to determine. In this case, the wrestler has far more internal links than the actor, but that may be misleading since the professional wrestling pages on Wikipedia are extremely well developed, whereas the pages on famous foreign actors of the past are much less developed and many do not exist. In addition to the actor, the wrestler meaning has to compete with many other meanings, including the actor's son, the son's band, a movie, a director and several less common meanings. The articles on those areas are similarly less developed than professional wrestling articles and American and British topics in general (which is not a problem, it just makes it problematic to use links to gauge the popularity of international topics). Using Google has the same problem as using internal links, but surprisingly the first three results are for the actor (2) and a film named Sabu (1) and the second page of results only has a single result for the wrestler while the film has three results (I checked out the internal links, Google and the other meanings of Sabu before doing the move). Also, three of the results on the first page for the wrestler are only there because Google included results for a "Sabu wrestler" search within the results for "Sabu" and another result is a duplicate Wikipedia article.
Anyway, all of these factors went into the decision about whether or not to move the article. I had no personal opinion on the matter, as I had never heard of the wrestler, actor or any of the other meanings. I just try to figure out what the consensus is, what policies apply and what is best for the project. Things are not always clear and there are often contradictions, but the admins who perform requested moves just try to do the best they can.
Finally, about the links being changed, it is not feasible for admins who perform moves to change the links to the articles they move. We are only required to make sure that there are no double redirects. If there are few links, sometimes I go beyond that and make all of the links direct. I do not know if any of the other admins do that or not. The current practice for admins who perform requested moves is to leave the links that point to a disambiguation page for individual editors and the people who work on disambiguation pages with links to take care of. If admins were required to fix the links for every move, there would be an enormous backlog due to the time required and the fact that even fewer admins would want to do requested moves than they do already. Even those editors who work on the disambiguation pages with links project generally do not fix all of them for a single article with a lot of links. They each just do their part. There are some rare cases when instead of going to a disambiguation page, the old links go to the wrong page after a move. In those cases, fixing the links is a high priority. I think that I have only performed one or two such moves and I was able to fix all of them myself because there were not many links. A bot may be helpful in such situations. However, using a bot to perform to fix links in the case where the links now point to a disambiguation page, like Sabu, is problematic because there are also links to it that are for the other meanings, like the actor. However, if there are few links for the other meanings, I suppose a bot would be helpful, as long as you check the articles to make sure the correct meaning is being linked to and you do not mind having some pages having an incorrect link for a while before they are fixed. Perhaps I will make a proposal about it.
Well, that is why I did what I did. Talk to you later, Kjkolb 12:59, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

White spaces
Please take into consideration that not everybody has the same kind of computer as you, same kind of browser (ie. I ask what kind of programming (i.e Windows, Mac) and browser you are using so we can make it look good both ways. — Moe Epsilon 22:34 September 22 '06
- Thats the same kind of blank spaces I see with your revisions. I use Windows ME and Internet Explorer. I don't want you reverting it because of WP:3RR. - Concerning the title reign pages, I really don't see why you and Clay4president should have exclusive rights to updating them. I think once Wikipedia hits 00:00, it shouldn't matter who does it, just as long as it's done. You don't own them after all. MarcK 05:31, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
- I edited according to UTC, i.e. the time used on Wikipedia, in which midnight is 2 PM here. So in fact my updates today began less than an hour past midnight UTC. MarcK 05:43, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
- I already explained why I edit at this time of day. If the Main Page is updated at midnight UTC, there's no reason why the title reign pages shouldn't be as well. So unless you can come up with a good reason why I should stop, I'm going to keep doing it. MarcK 00:25, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Why did you feel that the too much trivia tag had to be removed? I noticed I deleted the current champion text by mistake, so I apologize for that, but the trivia tag belongs. Starrcade
There is no reason why the latter pay-per-views at least should not have their own articles, as is the case with most WWE and TNA pay per views. Do you intend to merge the WrestleMania articles as well? McPhail 01:02, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
- I don't see the TNA PPV issue as a major problem. It will generate 12 new articles a year at the current rate, which is considerably less than any television series with an article for every episode. Pay per views stand alone for the most part, and lumping them into single articles is highly arbitrary (a more systematic method would be to have an article for all the PPVs in that year). I think virtually every PPV should have its own article. McPhail 01:10, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
- dude, i dont know what these^ guys are talkin about but, the Starrcade article was TOO long, and that is why i made two separate articles, cuz it has to be shortened, somehow. --Too Cool 08:04, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

This pic (Image:Jeffhardyintercontinentalchampionship.JPG) of Hardy is terrible. Mine is better. Mine was there for weeks and was fine. You should get blocked for 3RR rule cause u r changing it to... but i guess because ur a editor u get to abuse ur powers all u want.—Preceding unsigned comment added by RAMistheMAN (talk • contribs)

Ken Kennedy
Believe it or not, you are not god, nor are you in charge of the wikipedia WWE roster page. WWE.com (the official source of all WWE information) refers to him as Ken Kennedy in numerous places. Therefore it is official. Additionally, Kennedy's tights have KK on them. TWO K's. One representing Kennedy. And the other representing... I'll leave that one to you. In short, this page is supposed to be accurate, and I don't know why you insist on not using his full ring name as per WWE. DaHumorist 04:13, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
Snitsky/Kennedy
I've created a post on the talk page of World Wrestling Entertainment roster about it. This issue needs to get settled. You and DaHumorist reverting and editing, back and forth doesn't solve anything. RobJ1981 22:22, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

John Hennigan
When you say 'most people typing that name will look for the wrestler' i hope you meant the phrase 'Johnny Nitro' I fixed that redirect so it goes to the wrestler and not the disamiguation page, because I doubt people looking for Nitro's page will type in his real name. 'John Hennigan' should either go to the poker player or the disambiguation page, but not the wrestler --The JumpStation 06:32, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

Pro wrestling article assessing now in place
In case you didn't know: Category:Unassessed Professional wrestling articles. Everyone needs to help out and assess, the idea was a good one... but I hope it doesn't end up like other projects: many pages of unassessed articles due to people not wanting to assess articles. I've started assessing, but there is much work to be done. RobJ1981 01:00, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

re: playstation 4 delete
"The last time this was nominated the consensus was to turn it into a redirect to PS3" (from Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PlayStation 4)
- This is a problem. As I pointed out, the PlayStation 4 is not the PlayStation 3. It could have been a disambiguation page, but a redirect implies the names relate to the same thing. I am much happier with the current status of deleted. --gatoatigrado 06:31, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

Danny Phantom discussion
Hello. You recently participated in a discussion on the possible deletion or merger of some Danny Phantom characters. While all the articles were kept, I noted that many of those commenting on the debate suggested merging some characters into a main list. Seeing this, I've compiled a list of some of the minor characters who may not need their own article, and would like the opinions of those who weighed in originally. You can participate in the discussion here. Ral315 (talk) 18:25, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

Well, actually...
In reference to "only Admin's can close AFD's"[11], that's actually not true. In the case of a decidedly clear-cut "keep", it would be perfectly fine for someone to be bold enough to close it on their own (although I do think it should be done in only extreme cases of support).
Of course, in this instance it was done improperly and you responded in exactly the way you should have (and I heartily approve of your reverting her other closed AfDs). I just wanted to clarify that. :-) EVula 17:35, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

Clarify who please? I don't know what your talking about when you go around throwing around demands for something. — Moe 21:49, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, thats what you meant by the "Test" heading.. Anyways, yes, he did change his name legally. As soon as I find the souce again, I'll give it to you. I remember reading an article on it, it said he changed his name to Andrew "Test" Martin so he could keep the name "Test" for his ring name, and so WWE couldn't copyright it. And yes, he used Test in other places than WWE when he was released. Be patient though.. — Moe 21:55, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

The whole point of the article is that it's concentrating on one particular point-of-view (that's why there's Criticism in the headline). This is not about the Baseball on FOX program itself. And why do you think this is funny when all of the sources listed are from actual passionate baseball fans!? TMC1982 20 October 2006 (UTC)

You flagged Martin Bengtsson as a speedy for being nn. I checked, and he was a member of two notable bands, so I removed the speedy and expanded the article a bit. It's still a stub, though, and I don't know much about Swedish melodic death metal bands. All the references I could find talked more about the bands he was in than about the bassist himself. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 07:20, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

You appear to have flagged this article as a copyright violation. Although you are correct that it very likely was copied and pasted from another website, the Catholic Encylopedia is indeed public domain. Please keep that in mind when uses the copyright template in the future. It's ugliness demands a high standard of use. savidan(talk) (e@) 21:57, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

I've noticed quite a few times in histories of pages, your edit summaries of "trolls". Sometimes people don't know all the rules of Wikipedia, it doesn't give you the right to name call in edit summaries. RobJ1981 01:42, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Your revert to WWE Raw
After further investigation, vandalism may or may not be the correct term. However, if something is decided (as it was by my first move), then changing it anyway is contrary to the way Wikipedia operates. As far as Wikipedia is concerned, "Raw" is the correct spelling, not only because of the MOS but because of the first vote to move. Also, the question is under review again per the new move. You'll note that I did not move it after I proposed the first move strictly on my own authority either. Futhermore, I'm not sure that any of your edits related to this are in good faith. You seem to be willfully misunderstanding or ignoring the MOS and the way that this article applies. Propose a change to the MOS if yoiu don't like it. Don't revert pages on your own authority because you disagree with a policy (see WP:POINT). Croctotheface 22:41, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
