Fanning edit undo
What other sources can I use to justify my edit if I can't use Wikia as a verifiable source? I find it rather absurd that Wikia isn't a verifiable source for one, but I still want to justify my edit with alternative means. The problem is that I'm uncertain if other sources exist for such a topic. 24.215.73.1 (talk) 18:13, 23 April 2016 (UTC)
- @24.215.73.1: Hi there! Basically, Wikia is kinda like Wikipedia, except without the stringent standards. Basically, it has to be a reputable source, and can't be fan-written, like Wookipedia. Basically, you have to look for one, wether it be a book, a periodical, or other means. That's all I can do, so sorry about that! Have a great time editing, and I encourage you to make an account...Cheers! TJH2018 talk 00:23, 24 April 2016 (UTC)

Hi, did you check the edit or comments before reverting it? The contents are copy pasted from a local vernacular journal and without any references. I have marked comment as unref - what is the edit summary you are looking at?Ssriram mt (talk) 16:06, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

- Nevermind. It seems that you were being impersonated. DarkKnight2149 13:40, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

- As a precaution, it would probably best to check when you get messages from me, just to make sure it actually is me (if he's willing to impersonate you, then he's probably willing to impersonate me). A while ago, I created a number of doppelganger pages that redirect to my main user page. Hopefully, they'll pay off if need be. DarkKnight2149 21:32, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
- I might do the same myself...Thanks for the advice! TJH2018talk 21:39, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

Edit-warring
Hi there, I'm an administrator on the English Wikipedia. I don't understand your specific objections to the edits made by 61.3.41.52, I certainly don't understand why you engaged in edit-warring yourself, and I don't understand why you reported him as a vandal. He made a significant contribution by pruning an overly-detailed plot summary, and if there are a few grammatical errors, they can surely be overlooked for the overall improvement he made. There is nothing clearly "vandal-like" to my experienced eyes. There are very few exceptions for edit-warring, and content disputes and grammar errors are not one of them. At the first sign of trouble, you should have opened a discussion on the talk page, or on the editor's talk page, even if it was that user's burden. Other admins would have slapped you with a block for edit-warring, you made seven reverts, but I'm going to abstain with the hope that this sinks in. I'm also going to ask Widr to reverse the IP's block. I think you should self-revert and open a discussion on the talk page, frankly. It's not mandatory, but it would be a good gesture. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:56, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
- @Cyphoidbomb: Hey, thanks for reaching out. I was at the point where the user wasn't reading the edit summaries. I explained in them that he had bad English, and he shoud've taken the hint instead of forcing it down my throat. I wasn't going to fix it for him. If he wanted the material in so badly, then he should've taken it upon themselves to read the MOS. That's all I have to say. TJH2018talk 18:45, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
- I understand where you're coming from emotionally, but the behavior is intolerable. A wiser choice would have been to let his edit stand, open a discussion and explain why you think it should be reverted, and if he didn't respond within a reasonable amount of time (a day or two), revert. Or, fix the spelling/grammar issues rather than reverting the entire thing. Since the section is already flagged for cleanup, it's already a problem. Making it less of a problem is still an improvement. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:56, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
- I can see clearly now...Thanks for the input, and I'll take what you said into consideration...TJH2018talk 21:09, 29 April 2016 (UTC)

Use of WP:G7 in userspace
Hi,
A user can legitimately blank pages in their userspace without intending for the page to be deleted (they might want to check the history later). Therefore, db-author should not be placed on another's userpage.
"If the sole author blanks a page other than a userspace page, a category page, or any type of talk page, this can be taken as a deletion request."
Cheers. → AA (talk) — 07:49, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
- @AA: Alright, thanks for that info...TJH2018talk 15:49, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
- As discussed above, removed your tag here. → AA (talk) — 22:52, 29 April 2016 (UTC)

I see on your user page that you are in NJROTC. Someone gave me one of these when I was a newbie here, so think of this as me paying it forward. - @PCHS-NJROTC:Thanks! I'm considering splitting off NJROTC onto its own page, which should be a fun yet difficult challenge. My unit got defunded back in 2007 and I'm trying to create a marketing campaign. We have 83 cadets, but need 100 to get funded. As usual, bureaucracy stands in the way of getting things done right. Thanks for the welcome! By the way, I'm surprised that people still go after you about your username, even though it was pre-policy. And even though I'm only a couple of months in, I'm already weary of the WikiDrama. If only more kids my age actually took up interest in the projects...TJH2018talk 22:33, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
- Good luck with the split on the article! I remember tinkering with it myself a little back in the day. Wikipedia has a lot of good teen editors, even some sysops. I was one of them. That's why I debate against the school blockers with a vengeance; no one is going to go out of their way to become an editor here, our numbers (as I understand) are dropping, and these people with their blocks aren't helping this site. - You placed a speedy deletion tag on In the Land of Armadillos as "plot summary", which is not a speedy criterion, because such problems can be fixed.

There is already a well documented version of this in Chinese, thanks (you don't have to revert this) just make sure to check your facts and not assume everyone who edits wikipedia for a corporate is a hired gun. - @TJH2018: Sorry, that was not meant to be any personal attack, perhaps when one has a history of edit warring especially with the original author of an article in English (which by the way already has a Chinese version and only rely on official sources and you refuse to acknowledge it, but instead believe it is a major conflict of interest thinking the author works for the company? unhedge (talk) 07:59, 9 May 2016 (UTC)

Hi.
I am wondering about your recent deletes of my joint commission criticisms. I cited peer reviewed articles. It is unclear why you decide this was not a good enough source. Please explain further.
Lucas, Charles E., Angie L. Vlahos, and Anna M. Ledgerwood. "Kindness kills: the negative impact of pain as the fifth vital sign." Journal of the American College of Surgeons 205.1 (2007): 101-107.
Journal of American College of Surgeons not verifiable? You are kidding right? Try this link.
Here is a link to the article I referenced. http://www.journalacs.org/article/S1072-7515(07)00152-4/abstract
How about this reference?
The efficacy and safety of pain management before and after implementation of hospital-wide pain management standards: is patient safety compromised by treatment based solely on numerical pain ratings?." Anesthesia & Analgesia 101.2 (2005): 474-480
I use this reputable journal every day in my practice, as do 100% of anesthesiologists practicing today. To claim it isn't a verifiable source is very strange.
Here is a direct link to the article I reference. http://journals.lww.com/anesthesia-analgesia/Abstract/2005/08000/The_Efficacy_and_Safety_of_Pain_Management_Before.32.aspx
Please respond with a very detailed explanation why you feel these sources are not verifiable.
Thanks.

American Nazi Party
You're kidding, right? Did you even bother to look at the talk page and ANI? The sources are very clear: the organization does not exist anymore, therefore it makes absolutely no sense to use the present tense instead of the past in the lead. Laval (talk) 21:45, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Laval: The AN/I was basically a back-and-forth banter between you and 7=3, and it was quite clear that no source was given. TJH2018talk 22:24, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
