Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). CS1 error on Pac-12 Conference
[edit]Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Pac-12 Conference, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:
- A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)
Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 16:19, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
PLEASE
[edit]...consolidate your entries and provide edit summaries. On Big 12 Conference, is that 150 small edits in a row? Thank you. Drmies (talk) 19:50, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
- Will do ... a lot of my edits are because I'm learning about tables, colors, maps, etc. I'll try to consolidate more. TDinKS (talk) 21:12, 1 September 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Drmies (talk) 20:18, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks! I'll try to always include one going forward. TDinKS (talk) 21:17, 1 September 2023 (UTC)

Please consider reading up on Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts before editing further. Speedy deletion nomination of Category:College football teams in Alaska
[edit]A tag has been placed on Category:College football teams in Alaska indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 02:48, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
- Turns out there are no college football teams in Alaska so this category would be empty for the foreseeable future even if we kept it. TDinKS (talk) 03:59, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
The page Category:College football bowls in Georgia has been deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. As the page met any of these strictly-defined criteria, it was deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been deleted are:
- The category had been empty for seven days or more and it was not presently under discussion at Categories for discussion, or at disambiguation categories. (See section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion Review. Liz Read! Talk! 02:48, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks! This category was created by mistake. TDinKS (talk) 04:00, 15 September 2023 (UTC)

Conflict of interest editing
[edit]Hello, TDinKS. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Robert H. Meneilly, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 14:46, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
- This article is not about "myself, my family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors" TDinKS (talk) 15:50, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
- Nor am I being paid or rewarded in any way for this page. If there is something specific on the page that is not fact based / neutral, I would be happy to reword or cite it. TDinKS (talk) 15:59, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Dr.-Bob-Portrait-2-343x500.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Dr.-Bob-Portrait-2-343x500.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:16, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Thomas L. Are Jr.
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Thomas L. Are Jr. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Liz Read! Talk! 02:17, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
- I appreciate Wiki not wanting to have pages for just any old one. And I've read the criteria of "why the subject is important or significant", but would have to admit that I found them a bit ambiguous. So I would just say that in my *opinion*:
- Being the leader for 20 years of one of the 5 largest churches in the Presbyterian Church (USA) denomination
- Being a published author
- Serving on the board of a Presbyterian seminary
- etc
- would qualify as important of significant. But I leave that judgement to you. TDinKS (talk) 13:07, 28 September 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hi @TDinKS: How goes it? I had to remove that awards section. WP:PRIMARY references can't be used to prove per WP:V that a person has been award with something. That ref was primary and is unacceptable into biographical article. scope_creepTalk 00:15, 1 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hey @Scope creep:
- I'm doing well, thanks! When I saw the source was jcprd.com (ie Johnson County Parks and Rec which runs a museum that includes some information about the subject), I assumed that the museum had collected this data. But upon further review, the page referenced does have a line that says that the subject is the source. I'll look for 3rd party sources for these awards instead. Thanks!
