MOS:COMMA
You recently contributed to a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (geographic names) § Commas in metro areas. Following a recent related RFC on the wording used at MOS:COMMA in relation to geographic names, a new wording has gathered some support and I have opened a new RFC at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style § RFC: Proposed amendment to MOS:COMMA regarding geographical references and dates for further discussion of the proposal, which may interest you. —sroc 💬 08:46, 7 November 2013 (UTC)

NC Roads
I am making many NC highways, though I barely have a team to review them. Washuotaku is from Charlotte and has helped me tremendously. I would like to have you on our "team" as a editor and reviewer (after articles are edited I need them to be reviewed again to make sure the quality is up-to-date). I look forward from hearing back from you. --Ncchild (talk) 00:47, 26 November 2013 (UTC)

Cut from Hugh Hefner
I received a notice that I had cut and pasted material from Hugh Heffner's page. I have never even been on his page. You have made a mistake and I would appreciate an immediate retraction. Unless there is another John Persico registered on Wiki, which is possible. Your note was sent to my email address so I assume you have warned me by mistake. Please correct this error or contact me ASAP since I would like this resolved. I can be contacted at [redacted]. DYK for U.S. Route 64 in Oklahoma
On 17 December 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article U.S. Route 64 in Oklahoma, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that four U.S. highways, including US-64, converge in a traffic circle surrounding the Cimarron County Courthouse in Boise City, Oklahoma? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/U.S. Route 64 in Oklahoma. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Merry christmas and a happy new year! Thanks for TC-RC-Bot @ my channel, and.... etc! 레비Revicon 07:26, 24 December 2013 (UTC) |
- Thanks!...and...hm. Speaking of the bot, I should probably restart it soon. Maybe tomorrow when I've got the time and energy. TCN7JM 07:27, 24 December 2013 (UTC)
- No problem, all stalked pages are on my watchlist, and vandals will be reverted by others. So.... --레비Revicon 07:29, 24 December 2013 (UTC)
All this needs for start is RJL, and it's under USH - would you mind doing this one? I would myself, but I can't even figure out what road it's referring to. --Rschen7754 02:45, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
- Are we 100% sure this is notable? I looked at the article and mapped out the route on GMaps (link), and I have a couple of comments:
- "Minot Bypass" is not an official designation of any sort.
- A third of the route seems to be random backroads.
- To add to this, most of this stuff could probably be covered in state detail articles when they're created... TCN7JM 07:46, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, converting the article to a set list may be an option too. Unfortunately, while we can send it to AFD or PROD, it won't count for getting rid of a stub since it would close after December 31. --Rschen7754 08:24, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
- Well that doesn't mean we can't do it. There's a bigger issue here than just meeting our project goals. TCN7JM 16:22, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, converting the article to a set list may be an option too. Unfortunately, while we can send it to AFD or PROD, it won't count for getting rid of a stub since it would close after December 31. --Rschen7754 08:24, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
Mismatched assessments
Just wondering because you reverted a bunch, assessments are supposed to be equal. It would probably be best to downgrade these to a stub as well for WP:USA. Or place them into list class as a bunch of junctions? ChrisGualtieri (talk) 18:15, 26 December 2013 (UTC)
- They're stubs. If the assessments are supposed to be equal, which I didn't know, then they can be downgraded for WP:USA as well. WP:USRD/A has the guidelines for assessments on articles within project scope. None of these articles have two of the "big three" sections (route description, junction list, history), so they're stubs for now. TCN7JM 18:18, 26 December 2013 (UTC)
- Speaking in Stub Contest judge and U.S. Roads project member, the USA ones would be downgraded. US Roads project technically is priority in this. Mitch32(New digs, new life, same old stubborn.) 18:20, 26 December 2013 (UTC)
- I've actually gone and just downgraded them all. I'll skip any more U.S. Roads ones I'll see and make a return parse on the specific criterion of the Wikiproject. I've been weeding out some vandalism in other areas in the process of these checks. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 18:23, 26 December 2013 (UTC)

DevelopmentWord from John- To give this section some life, since the development team had their holidays last week meaning nothing really got done (let them have one week off at least), I'll say a few words. 2014 is a new year and thus a new start, over the last year Wikidata celebrated its first birthday which brought reflection over what Wikidata had accomplish. Therefore I want to use the start of 2014 to reflect what Wikidata can do. For my personal over view see this page. For the summary, while it is meant to be a weekly simple update, I feel this can be used a lot more effective to put across not only what happened on Wikidata but things about Wikidata on other wikis, I am hoping to start a section over this within the next few weeks. If you have any suggestions for the summary, feel free to drop me a message at meta or Wikidata. Thanks.
