Sumitkumarjha75 (talk) 03:12, 24 January 2012 (UTC)TIFF screenshot for Fitocracy
[edit]First off, I want to let you know that I really appreciate you adding a screenshot to the Fitocracy page. However, I notice that you used the TIFF format. While TIFF is a useful format for print images, it really isn't that great for online use, and most browsers don't support it.
So this is just a reminder that uploading your screenshots as PNGs would be better. I took the liberty of converting File:Fitocracy game.tiff to PNG (as File:Fitocracy game.png, and you can see how much smaller it is, even though it's the exact same image. So your file will be deleted in 7 days.
Ordinarily, I wouldn't bother telling you this, but, since you are a new editor, and one who is doing an awesome job, I thought you might like to know this little tidbit to help you improve. I seriously do appreciate your work on that article, and hope to see more contributions from you in the future. — trlkly 22:20, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
- Many thanks for doing that. Not sure why the screengrab came out in TIFF format - must be the default for the OSX screenshot tool (I only recently switched to using a Mac) - I will make sure any future images I upload are either PNG or JPG. Syzgyz (talk) 10:26, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
