[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Arameans, appears to have been inappropriate, and has been reverted. Please feel free to use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. global edits to spelling are not valid. You broke at least one image link, falsified a ref title, and changed quotes which need to remain as quotes. - Why is it inappropriate? Could you tell me more? Syriac563 (talk) 13:33, 30 November 2022 (UTC)

- The term Arameans is written wrong and different several times in the page. I literally corrected it. Is it allowed to correct it or not? Syriac563 (talk) 16:17, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
- The title of the article is Arameans, not Aramaeans. Both spellings are used in the sources. You will see discussion in the requested moves on the article talk page. There are obviously political arguments being conducted on the article's talk page. The place to resolve them is on that talk page, or at WP:dispute resolution if necessary. I have no interest in those political arguments. However, to be clear, a link to an image must use the spelling used in the link title, not the spelling which you might prefer. The title field in a reference citation must use the spelling used in the title of the reference itself, not the spelling which you might prefer. Any quote used must use the spelling used in the quote itself, not the spelling which you might prefer. - David Biddulph (talk) 16:36, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
- It is not about which spelling is used in the sources my friend. Use one spelling and stop confusing people with several different ways of writing one word. It is Aramean, then write it as Aramean everywhere in the text on the page. It has nothing to do with politics or whatever. On every page words are written in one way beside on the Aramean page, tell me more? Syriac563 (talk) 14:05, 9 December 2022 (UTC)

- I literally corrected the term of Arameans because it is written wrong and different on the page several times. Syriac563 (talk) 13:33, 30 November 2022 (UTC)

- Arameans speak/spoke Aramaic. Why does the page say that Arameans are 'Semitic speaking'. The page is written from an Assyrian nationalist POV. Syriac563 (talk) 12:11, 13 December 2022 (UTC)
- Feel free to demonstrate that in the talk page of the article with reliable sources backing you up. --HistoryofIran (talk) 12:36, 13 December 2022 (UTC)
- No one is replying in the talk page. The Aramean page is totally written from an Assyrian nationalist POV. Syriac563 (talk) 16:24, 13 December 2022 (UTC)
- I don't mean to be rude, but that may be because because you are ranting in the talk page. --HistoryofIran (talk) 16:31, 13 December 2022 (UTC)
- The page is totally manipulated and hijacked by Assyrian nationalists for a long time. What can we do against it? There is so much proof that these people ain't Assyrians but Arameans/Syriacs. The 'Assyrian' name and identity is a made up identity that dates back to the 19th and 20th century. A lot of scholars argued that they are not Assyrians but Syriacs/Arameans. Syriac563 (talk) 16:34, 13 December 2022 (UTC)
- Then prove it with sources from those scholars and stop constantly blaming it on the "Assyrian nationalists". Its hard to take you seriously when you keep talking about other people. Also, do mind that the article is pretty well sourced. --HistoryofIran (talk) 17:36, 13 December 2022 (UTC)
- The next time you alter sourced information [1] you will be reported. --HistoryofIran (talk) 23:37, 13 December 2022 (UTC)
