Edits to Business card
[edit]Your recent edits to Business card - deleting sections and replacing a museum link with one to a company you have promoted on other articles - is a disservice to our readers and is considered vandalism. You made some great edits before, adding in the glossary, please consider continuing to edit in that fashion. Thanks. -- Siobhan Hansa 23:42, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
Advertising
[edit]A tag has been placed on Countdown timer, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Philippe Beaudette 23:54, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
Blocked for spamming
[edit]You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia for continuing to add spam links. If you wish to make useful contributions, you are welcome to come back after the block expires. Persistent spammers will have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia. Gwernol 00:17, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- Your persistent recreation of the Countdown timer article in both its original title and as PME coundown timer is unacceptable. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for you to promote your business or products. When the block expires please make constructive edits rather than continuing to spam the encyclopedia. Thanks, Gwernol 00:22, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
printsmadeeasy.com external links
[edit]Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. -- Siobhan Hansa 00:18, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Relevant policies and guidelines
[edit]Symduo, I'm sorry your initial experience with Wikipedia has been a little rocky. There are two areas that it would be useful for you to understand.
Wikipedia is not a appropriate place to promote or advertise a website like printmadeeasy. Please read our guidelines on spam and external links for more details. If you are in any way associated with that site, the guidelines on [{WP:COI|conflict of interest]] would also apply.
Regarding your article about Countdown timer. This appears to be about a non-notable product. We have a specific definition of notability for commercial businesses and products which is outlined in our guideline. Please read that. it gives you the specific criteria that you need to meet in order to show that this product is notable enough to warrant an article.
If any of this is not clear, feel free to leave me a message here or on my talk page and I will be happy to help. It would be a good idea to ask before making further edits that you suspect may infringe these guidelines. Good luck, Gwernol 19:03, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
