Family Section on LDS Church Page
[edit]Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for your comments on the Family Section. Your changes are good. I didn't even know about the Evergreen group, and that's what this project is all about, learning. My approach to the article is to have a short paragraph about each issue and have a breakaway article detailing the subject more specifically. There is a lot of criticism of the church, as I am sure you are aware, and I don't want the article to be a hit piece for every issue. There is no article called Mormonism and homosexuality, although there my be need for one. Before my edits, the subject was basically a bullet point that said the church was against homosexuality, not very helpful.
I am going to put the paragraph back with your suggested changes, but I also think it important to note that the Reformed Mormon movement spawned from this and other issues. Bytebear 20:48, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe explain a bit more in the paragraph why the Reformed Mormon movement is pertinent. I'm trying to track down some of the citations needed for the rest of the article. I'm a little bit unaware of how to do that. Do you know how to cite sources? I don't. For example, the LDS Church world wide leadership training in April would be a great source for this part of the article. Have a great day! Sylverdin 22:36, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
helpme
[edit]I have been doing some work on The Chronicles of Prydain and have added a prominent character Prince Rhun. There is a box on the bottom of the Prydain pages showing characters, books, places, ect. but I don't know how to add Prince Rhun's name to that. How do I do that? Sylverdin 21:12, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- The page you're looking to edit is Template:The Chronicles of Prydain -- see WP:TEMPLATE for some more general information on templates, but the general idea is that it saves time by allowing us to either (a) recycle text a lot or (b) make one edit to a box like this and have that edit show up at every appropriate page. If you need any help editing that page, feel free to use another helpme, or to ask me at my talk page. Hope that helps! Luna Santin 21:18, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
Angharad
[edit]Thanks for removing the fantasy-stub flag on Angharad. Hadn't noticed it there and it surely doesn't belong :) --Bookgrrl 12:13, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
Adding pictures
[edit]I'm wondering how to add pictures to the database and to encylopedia entries without breaking copyright laws. I'm sure there's a section on it somewhere, but I don't know where to read the rules. Thanks! Sylverdin 23:53, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Sylverdin. The page you probably want is Wikipedia:Image use policy, but maybe Wikipedia:Image copyright tags too, and there is another page at Wikipedia:Uploading images. Just ask again if you have any further questions. -- zzuuzz (talk) 00:26, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism on User Page
[edit]Someone just vandalized my page. What can or should I do? I deleted it but don't want it to happen again. You can see it if you look in my history. Sylverdin 20:38, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- I'll take care of it. -- ßottesiηi (talk) 20:39, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- He will be blocked shortly (he has contributed only vandalism). -- ßottesiηi (talk) 20:42, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- The user has been indefinitely banned. For future reference, you can warn the vandal with a large variety of templates (Category:User warning templates, {{TestTemplates}}). If it is apparent that the vandal should be blocked, you can report him/her to WP:AIV. -- ßottesiηi (talk) 22:08, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
Mormon collaboration of the month
[edit]Your vote helped Temple Square to be selected as the January Mormon Collaboration of the Month. I look forward to working with you to improve the article. uriah923(talk) 23:31, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
