Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Syed Sadique Hussain! Your additions to Khuda Bakhsh Khan have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 20:28, 14 May 2022 (UTC)
- Hello Mam, Some of the sources like the official website of the Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library is available under Public Domain since, it is a Government website. Anyone can use it for their references under Right to Information Act, 2005. The same applies for the Ministry of Culture, Government of India's dedicated page for Khuda Bakhsh Library that contains the details about the same. I have the permission of using those contents from the website and some of the Khuda Bakhsh's Wikipedia page have contents which were deleted due to Copy/Paste of the same words from the website.
- Since, I have copy pasted some of the sentences as I wanted to make the Person's Page more Authentic. I will re-write the sentences with my own words to avoid Copyright - Violations and will give the references which are available in Public Domain. So, is it fine mam if i do that? Syed Sadique Hussain (talk) 05:15, 15 May 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry for not replying sooner. The Government of India copyrights their documents, for 60 years from publication date. So it's not okay to copy it to Wikipedia. — Diannaa (talk) 14:18, 23 February 2023 (UTC)

Qcne (talk) 15:46, 24 December 2023 (UTC)Disclose clients before creating/editing articles for payment
[edit]Hello Syed Sadique Hussain. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Syed Sadique Hussain. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Syed Sadique Hussain|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 2001:8F8:1623:822C:C180:1EC8:230B:AF42 (talk) 19:13, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hello,
- @2001:8F8:1623:822C:C180:1EC8:230B:AF42 Thanks for letting me know about that I have done the discloser of the payment I received for the Wikipedia articles i wrote but I would also like to mention that are majority of my articles for which I didn't took any kind of payment for eg - Adele De Berri or Manoj sharma (voice actor) or other biographies pages etc I created this page for genuine interest for eg - Adele de berri was the inventor of the silver screen which many people didn't know about ......she was also the founder of De Lite ..i even message de lite in their official website to give me more information about her but i didn't recieved any kind mail from them, with regards to the manoj sharma it was the same case .. he was the voice over behind colors kannda and colors super ... as a matter of fact his page was created through AFC Creation and was approved by a senior editor. so, i followed the guidelines, terms and conditions properly for all articles i have published in wikipedia. - Also, at that point of time i didn't have much knowledge of how to edit Wikipedia in the right format. Syed Sadique Hussain (talk) 12:42, 6 February 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Scope creep. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Gerald Fox have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Request reason:
Hi, there is a clear misunderstanding that i - Syed Sadique Hussain and @ChaturvediUtkarsh are the same person. :To prove that, here is my IP address - https://whatismyipaddress.com/ip/2a00:f29:2e0:91d6:f11e:d707:1b74:a5bd :i am based in Dubai, UAE while utkarsh is based in India.. so there is no chance that we both are the same person. :With all due respect Sir/Mam, please note this is my only wikipedia account that i have used.. i have never use any other wikipedia account other than this.. You can also check the IP address by yourself if you want for both the account, i also admit that yes i did mistakes, and i deeply regret it even before my account was block thats why i was editing to fix it from the last 3 days as it was pointed out by fellow editors during ongoing coi discussion. :i was correcting my wrong edits by edting them to the correct guidelines .. there was a COI going on with regards to one of my page that i created that is gerald fox, where my fellow editors pointed out the mistakes ... here is the proof of those talks - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard#Gerald_Fox :Here is the evidence that i was fixing my mistakes you can see i was removing content that was unworthy from 6 - 8 feb before getting blocked - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Syed_Sadique_Hussain :even before that i also try to follow the guidelienes of wikipedia strictly, but while doing alot of edits correctly, i also made some mistakes for which i am regretting and i am trying to fix it . :i met Utkarsh through Facebook where he requested to learn the guidelines, terms and conditions of Wikipedia and we did edit some pages together and did some grave mistakes while not knowing it completely for which i deeply regret and that was the reason why i was fixing those and other mistakes i did due to the guilt when i was it in COI when other editors where pointing out, also with regards to my socket puppetry investigation i didn't even got the chance to prove my innocence since the investigation was closed within 7 hours and i didnt even got the chance to defend myself nor did Utkarsh had the chance. :With regards to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/SMK_Tennis_Academy - i was not the only one who voted for keep .. the other person that i don't know honestly also voted for week keep since , her and me we genuinely thought that the articles are reliable and independent for eg - smk tennis acadamy was covered in vogue Arabia and other news articles which is considered reliable source according to Wikipedia and there was not any kind of description that it was a press release or PR ..you can check the article here - https://en.vogue.me/culture/smk-tennis-academy-13th-tournament-female-emirati-players/ : but i do admit that i was wrong, since later after casting my vote i found out from my fellow editors that voted for delete that the way it is written is similar to other news articles, this was something i honestly didn't know about completely i did have a sense that the title of tournaments looks same but the way it was written looks a little different so, i thought all the articles may have got coverage since sometimes when some important news comes out alot of news publisher write article about it and i thought it was a based on reliable source and the other person also voted in favour so, i also voted. and i read the article where there was coverage about the academy also so, i cast my vote on the basis that the academy also have some amount of coverage, but i do admit that it was a mistake from myside. :I have already learned my mistakes that is the reason why i am correcting my mistakes from the last 3 days since i regret what i did ... and when my fellow editor pointed out in the COI i started fixing my mistakes and i and Utkarsh are not same people we are 2 different people , also even before ban i already said in the coi that i will only create articles through AFC so, that some other editor can inform me of my mistakes so that i can fix it and then only it will go to main space ..please refer to the COI chat of Gerald fox for that. I promise that i will not repeat the mistakes again, since i felt deep regret about it and will first fix my wrong edits and do will edit according to Wikipedia guidelines and will create page only through AFC. when i edit page it is for good faith i have no intention for doing any wrong edits. Decline reason:
I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 17:30, 8 February 2024 (UTC)

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- And you really need to explain this. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 17:57, 8 February 2024 (UTC)
@--jpgordon Yes, Sure... let me explain so Utkarsh wanted to learn how to edit and add something in talk page in Wikipedia. we were in google meet at that time so i was showing him in the meeting that this is how it is written and posted this comment in his talk page at this time at (17.28)- what he did was he added his comment on my talk page at (17.29) for which i told him to remove and write it on your own page which he did here - something like this - which he later wrote at 17.31
Now if we think logically if i am the same person why would i write like that and blow my cover up ? and you can also see the time difference between 2 edits there is only 1 min. one is done at (17.28) and other is done at (17.29) i am an experience editor and if i want to use a different account .. i would not let someone know about it and make this kind of stupid mistake.
that is the reason why i am requesting to check the IP address for both the accounts to prove that we are 2 different people. he is living in india and i am living in UAE .
- Why were you and ChaturvediUtkarsh in Google Meet together in the first place? BTW, pings don't work unless you sign your posts at the same time as you ping another editor.--Bbb23 (talk) 19:24, 8 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Bbb23 hi, it is much easier to teach a new editor the Wikipedia guidelines in a meeting rather than through chat for that purpose i conducted meeting to train him about the different law that we have to follow such as - WP:BIO, WP:ORG , which source are reliable and which are not - WP:RSP etc ...so, that i can make his basic foundation strong in return he will do less mistakes in Wikipedia. but the main problem started to arise when we face to prove notability of an article for that you have to write about his award and achievements so, that i am able to prove that this person belongs in wikipedia according to the guidelines of WP:BIO but due to that the neutrality got effected as if i was promoting that person which was not my intention so, this is the place where things got to get wrong. i hope you are understanding what i meant to say .. it's like a double edge sword.. you will get hurt from both side , so, we tried to solve it from our way that is fixing the article although our intention where good to improve the article but, our apprach was wrong. and other editors where not willing to edit our page so, we took it upon our self which was a big mistake that we did. Syed Sadique Hussain (talk) 20:00, 8 February 2024 (UTC)
- But I don't see any indication that ChaturvediUtkarsh asked for your help on Wikipedia. All he did was say "hi" on your Talk page.--Bbb23 (talk) 20:10, 8 February 2024 (UTC)
- As i said previously on the appealing block request that got rejected, we met on Facebook, let me continue the part further - after which we became friends and then we exchanged our numbers and we started talking on WhatsApp, he and i studied from the same college btw - i was actually the one who introduce him to Wikipedia, because it was a fascinating place to gain knowledge and i saw the potential of learning in him. he was also interested in contributing something in Wikipedia. so, we get along together and started helping him with understanding the guideline and how to write article in Wikipedia format just out of passion... i don't have any problem sharing my fb profile here and if you go through my friend list you will find Utkarsh as well here he is his profile he shown a genuine interest in Wikipedia so, i started teaching him.
- this will also prove that we both are different people since i am sharing the profile of both of us. 20:39, 8 February 2024 (UTC) Syed Sadique Hussain (talk) 20:39, 8 February 2024 (UTC)

The article Faltu Engineers has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
spam from blocked paid editor. non of the English sources are any good. One of the Hindi sources is very short leaving at best one decent source, not multiple.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
Also:
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
The article Claes Oldenburg (The South Bank Show) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
UPE blocked spammer. Essentially an episode listing with no coverage. Refs are IMDB style and single NY Times doesn't mention it. Fails WP:SIGCOV. No redirect target.

The article Christian Boltanski: Dead or Alive has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
paid for spam lacking coverage in independent reliable sources.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 19 February 2024 (UTC)

Request reason:
Dear Administrator, I understand the reason why i was blocked, it was due to Meatpupptry (a type of sockpuppetry) Please note in Wikipedia this is the only account that i have used, it is also confirmed by @User:Courcelles .. you can see it here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Syed_Sadique_Hussain/Archive here that I (Syed Sadique Hussain) and Chaturvedi Utkarsh are not from same person and it is confirmed with geolocation as well, i am living in dubai, uae and he is living in India, please note i truly didn't know the existence any of these other suspected accounts that is PrakashShettyK, Skilledwikivolunteer and Kosmosfacttor .....i promise, i have never seen this account. and i dont know why it is affiliated with me. but i do admit that i tried to help @user:chaturvediutkarsh to get favorable conscious regarding one of his delete nomination of SMK Academy only as i thought it was a good article and other editors also gave a favorable review and i admit that i did a grave mistake while doing this. It was the first time i did this kind of mistake not knowing the consequences of my action and will be the last time i ever do this or any kind of mistake. i would like to apologise to the Wikipedia community and will not repeat this mistake again, i have already explained how this problem started in my first block appeal. just before i was blocked i was correcting my mistakes that were highlighted by fellow editors, i promise to improve the Wikipedia pages by following the rules faithfully through my future contributions and will not cause any kind of damage or disruption...Having said that from now on i will only create article through AFC here so, that other editors can review it. and i will edit by following the rules and regulations of Wikipedia only. Please accept my sincere apologise and i promise to be faithful and will never repeat this kind of mistake again Syed Sadique Hussain (talk) 09:38, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action, or you have not responded to questions raised during that time. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 19:16, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Al Boyer Excuse me? can you please stop spamming everywhere in the block appeal for user pages? I can see that you have spam 2 - 3 pages, also please be respectful, you cannot treat us like this! Wikipedia is a civilized place, and you cannot message like this that you have done here and in other user page appeal -

- @Bbb23 , @Courcelles @--jpgordon Dear Colleagues, I just wanted to inform you that the 3-sleepers account and the main account of Utkarsh that where attached under my name concerning the investigation done on me here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Suspected_Wikipedia_sockpuppets_of_Syed_Sadique_Hussain is not mine and it can also be proven even with the Geolocation as it doesn't match at all and it was told and confirmed by archiving clerk - @Courcelles in here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Syed_Sadique_Hussain/Archive#Clerk,_CheckUser,_and/or_patrolling_admin_comments
I am quite sure it is of @User:ChaturvediUtkarsh and not Mine(Syed Sadique Hussain)... also with regards to Sock puppetry i did know that having more than 1 account is not allowed in Wikipedia and i followed that rule very strictly, I promise i didn't know about it and i dont know why i am getting the blame for all 3 of his sleeper account and his main account ? see i do admit that i mistakenly help him with getting him a favourable review for only one page that is SMK Academy that was my mistake as i thought it is favourable according to article written about the academy and also in the deletion favourable vote given by another voter you can look it here -https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/SMK_Tennis_Academy and i know the block is justified with regards to meatpupptry that i admit i did and i learned my mistakes and i am truly sorry and i regret that decision that i took and i will never do this mistake again. Syed Sadique Hussain (talk) 16:20, 26 March 2024 (UTC) -- @Deepfriedokra @Bbb23 , @Courcelles @--jpgordon Dear Sir/Mam, Is there any update on my latest block review? it has been there for more than 20 days now, and any kind of update will be appreciated, Also please I would suggest going through the comments given below after the latest unblock review. thank you, I will be waiting for any reply .. This request for help from administrators has been answered. If you need more help or have additional questions, please reapply the {{admin help}} template, or contact the responding user(s) directly on their own user talk page. |
Dear Sir/mam, I have been falsely accused to be a socketpupptry for @User:Expertwikiguy with whom i don't have any connection..1 From the beginning of my block appeal I have always said that i have only used 1 registered account which is Syed Sadique Hussain and I haven't not created any other registered account, I also haven't got any kind of reply from the administrators from the past 2 months all i have got is more accusations. I would love to see the evidence presented by the administrator - @User:Joe Roe
I will stay on my words because i am telling the truth , i have read about the guidelines of Wikipedia and it is strictly prohibited of having from that 1 account so, i am following that law strictly.
it also goes same with other suspected socketpupptry accounts which are linked to me that is PrakashShettyK, Skilledwikivolunteer and Kosmosfacttor which i have never used in my life.
I would humbly request the adminstrator to go through my unblock appeal to get a full picture of what is going on from here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Syed_Sadique_Hussain#Proposed_deletion_of_Christian_Boltanski:_Dead_or_Alive
I would request to please kindly look after the issue so, that it can be resolved.
Looking forward to hear from you soon.
- You have an open unblock request; help requests are unnecessary and redundant, and will not speed up the process. Admins are volunteers, doing what they can when they can. Please be patient. 331dot (talk) 11:16, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
