Orphaned non-free image File:Sonya, Poles - Paris exhibition 2004.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Sonya, Poles - Paris exhibition 2004.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude2 (talk) 03:34, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- I'm going to add it to the article it was intended for now, and I'll remove the warning on the image page. Thank you for watching out -- proper fair use is important. - Swiss Mister in NY (talk) 13:00, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion
[edit]There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident with which you may be involved. The thread is Swiss Mister in NY. Thank you. —Nil Einne (talk) 04:19, 7 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Nil Einne: Thank you for this notification. It's encouraging to me that you at least take the step of notifying an editor when you think he or she is in trouble. The two editors that I made what you thought was a "weird accusation" don't bother extending that courtesy! - Swiss Mister in NY (talk) 14:51, 9 December 2023 (UTC)
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Intelitek until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.scope_creepTalk 05:26, 7 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Scope creep: Thank you for this notification. I hope the community will recognize that you deleted nearly half of the article (without discussion) before you nominated it for deletion. A simple search of newspaper archives show that there are numerous independent mentions of this company, historically. That may not be enough to rescue the article, but it seems that a thoughtful Wikipedian would examine sources and seek to improve content before seeking its removal. I will say that this comment from one of Wikipedia's all-time top-100 editors was quite informative. - Swiss Mister in NY (talk) 14:58, 9 December 2023 (UTC)
A double-hotdog dare for you!

For Special:Diff/1186866793. (I'd love to post an actual double-hot dog, in the sense of a bun with two sausages in it, but I'm a little lazy, so two mini hot dogs it is.) Artoria2e5 🌉 02:01, 4 June 2024 (UTC) |
