Railway station coordinates

Hi, when adding (or amending) coordinates on articles about tram stops (such as here and here), please don't be overly precise. An accuracy to six places of decimals is equivalent to approximately 10 centimetres (4 in), which is way beyond our requirements. Tram stop coordinates, like those of railway stations, are generally given to four places of decimals, which corresponds to approximately 10 metres (33 ft). This is sufficient considering that Manchester Metrolink tram stops are never less than 60 metres (197 ft) long. --Redrose64 (talk) 16:40, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

I use coord template with decimal parameters and dms format. So overly precise numbers are not displayed. I think there is no use to reduce digits in this way. For example there is no difference between 53°26′34″N 2°16′24″W (parameters are 53.442688 and -2.273365) and 53°26′34″N 2°16′24″W (parameters are 53.4427 and -2.2734).
