Hello, Suprabheballary, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Eleonora Patacchini

[edit]

Hi! I saw that you moved your page live, however I moved it back to your userspace to User:Suprabheballary/Eleonora Patacchini because there were still some issues that needed to be resolved:

  • This needs more independent and reliable sources to establish how Patacchini is notable. Keep in mind that in order to establish notability we need to show where there are sources written about her and her work. Things like her being brought in to comment as an expert or being mentioned in passing can't establish notability, nor would her work getting published or working for notable organizations or businesses.
  • The article is written in a promotional, praising tone towards Patacchini and as such is non-neutral. The article shouldn't tell the reader that someone is notable or important. It's really vital to avoid point of view and subjective terms, as what is major to one may not be to the next person. I'm doing some work to remove this, but please be cautious about this.
  • Be careful to avoid vague date terms such as "recently", since those can quickly become out of date and they don't really give a lot of detail since what's recent to one may be not as recent to another.
  • I don't think that there's really much need to list where she's served as a referee. It's kind of a given that if someone is skilled within their field that they will referee a journal or some sort of forum at some point in their careers. I'd really only mention this if there is enough coverage in independent and reliable sources (ie, non-primary sources). It would be worth listing where she's served as an editor (if the journals are notable) but where she's refereed isn't really major information as far as Wikipedia is concerned.
  • I summarized the research section more, to make it more brief. It's important to avoid making judgement calls or original research based on the sources - we can only summarize what has been explicitly stated.
Also, the research and research interests sections are kind of redundant to one another. I merged the sections.

I've done some cleanup, but this needs independent and reliable sources before this could be moved back live. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:17, 21 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
