Hi John! Good to run into you by accident: I was looking at the Ben Logan article when I noticed your name coming up :-) Nathaniel Pockras 04:03, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My father's father, a Christian, is a Jewish convert. My ancestors there are all Ukrainian Jews. My grandmother and my mom's parents are not at all ethnically Jewish. Nyttend 13:18, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ever consider categorising your userboxes? D:

By the way, I think you deserve the ubx-5 box more than I do. ._o Blast 11.17.06 1318 (UTC -5)

Hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of making a table out of your userboxes. A link to the most recent edit before this is here. Blast 11.29.06 0359 (UTC -5)

WikiSk template

[edit]

Hello,

I have recently founded a template which can be used on their user pages by those, who contribute to the Slovak Wikipedia as well. If you do and if you are interested, you can have a look at Template:User wikisk. Jan.Kamenicek 22:49, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: new article

[edit]

If you look at your new congressman article, you'll find that I categorised it for you :-) I don't do much in the way of new articles in general, but I had a big exception a month ago when I created several hundred articles for townships and small towns across Ohio, as well as the navigational template that you'll find at the bottom of the article for any town or township in Ohio. Nyttend 01:58, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You praised all my pictures. Here's something you can do: if you have (1) a digital camera, and (2) a chance to do it, take a good still picture of BLHS for the article. Nyttend 02:58, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't remove things.

[edit]

Hi John,

I must ask in the future that you please do not remove parts of articles that are factually accurate, like you did in the Get Fuzzy subsection about the Pittsburgh controversy. The thing you removed actually appeared in the strip. Please don't do that in the future, because that borders on vandalism. Other than that, keep up the good work. --ChrisP2K5 03:27, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Geofiction websites

[edit]

Hey, I noticed your geofiction userbox, and I thought you might enjoy these sites:

Hope you enjoy. :) Blast 19.04.07 0522 (UTC)

Oh, and one more:

Re:Ben Logan picture

[edit]

I don't know too much about copyright law; the right place to ask is the media copyright questions section of the Help Desk. However, I can guess: if the satellite picture is government-produced, as most of these things seem to be, it would be public domain — except you have the problem that the school obviously modified the picture, so the picture is not public domain. Therefore, you may not upload it, except for fair use provisions, and I don't think you could make a fair use case for this. Therefore, don't do it.

By the way, thanks for the note about the userpage; it looks nice. One thing, though: you misspelled my username :-) Nyttend 02:08, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looking for more informed assistance/opinions regarding the political position of the Republican Party (US)

[edit]

Hi! I saw that you were a member of WikiProject Politics, and was wondering if you'd be willing to give input/assistance on a task I've set out to do on changing the consensus regarding the political position (or rather lack thereof) on the Republican Party (United States) page. If you're interested, you can participate (either by stating your opinion, or responding to others regarding inaccuracies, etc) on the talk page. Thanks!
