re the tyne wear rivalry

[edit]

Thanks. Just cannot see anything in the article that suggests the conflicts of 250 years ago have the slightest bearing on the soccer rivalry between Newcastle and Sunderland. The rivalry exists because that's what happens between local clubs. Attempting to link the political historical differences between Newcastle & Sunderland just doesn't ring true and there is scant encyclopedic evidence to support the article's implication. I've lived in the area all my life and have been surrounded by supporters of both teams. Never have I heard anything of the like suggested in the article leaky_caldron (talk) 21:07, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Renaming 2009 Samoa earthquake article - Samoa tsunami

[edit]

Hi

can you please change the name of 2009 Samoa earthquake to Samoa Tsunami...only because everyone will be googling Samoa Tsunami - and not 'earthquake.' I've put links in the Samoa country pages & Tonga...this will help traffic come to the right page on wikipedia. I don't know how to rename and I might do something wrong. Sorry and thanks Teine Savaii (talk) 13:46, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi mate can you please remove names from this evenings edit summaries here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mos_Eisley&action=history if poss. Cheers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.235.209.20 (talk) 22:25, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WikiCup Awards

[edit]
The 2009 WikiCup Participant Award
This WikiCup Award is presented to Sunderland06 for their participation in the 2009 WikiCup. Your contributions along the way have greatly improved the quality of many articles, pictures, and sounds on the English Wikipedia.

Congratulations! Hope to see you sign up for the 2010 WikiCup, here, if you haven't already! iMatthew talk at 22:56, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Giacomo Bologna has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about athlete who hasn't played in a fully-pro league (and there is no evidence at FIFA, RSSSF or NFT that he ever played for the Sammarinese national team) and which fails the general notability guideline.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Sunderland06! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 3 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to these articles, it would greatly help us with the current 103 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Pasquale D'Aniello - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Roberto Di Maio - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Attendances table

[edit]

Hi Sunderland06.

Regarding the attendances table in the Stadium of Light article here [1], I have updated the table data from a reliable source but I have no idea how the graphics are updated. Is it an uploaded Excel file? It would be great if you could update it.

Regards,

LC Leaky Caldron 11:58, 15 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. The data set is attached to the file but when I added the last 2 years the graph didn't extend so I assume it needs to be done off-wiki and uploaded again. Is that correct? Leaky Caldron 15:06, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That's great. Thanks! Leaky Caldron 15:34, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Alberto Celli, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alberto Celli. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. BigGayAllison talk   07:18, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:CoupeLigueLogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

The article Sunderland A.F.C. is schedule to appear as the main page featured article in the near future

[edit]

Hello! This is a note to let the main editors of this article know that it will be appearing as the main page featured article on October 21, 2010. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/October 21, 2010. If you think that it is necessary to change the main date, you can request it with the featured article director, Raul654 (talk · contribs). If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Wikipedia doesn't look bad. :) Thanks!
