Copy-editing
Hi! How are you? Would it be possible for you to copy-edit the article Raja of Panagal? I'm working to take it to GA-level and I desire to put my article through a round of copy-editing before nominating it for a GA. Thanks.:-) -RavichandarMy coffee shop 07:05, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you very much :-) -RavichandarMy coffee shop 16:53, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Hi
Hi! I have been trying to find you online over the past couple of days but couldn't spot you. I had a look at your tags. As far as those acts are concerned, they were introduced by the government of the Raja of Panagal and may very well be regarded as having been introduced by the Raja himself as he was the Chief Minister at that time.As far as the elections are concerned, I will seem to have introduced "free and fair" in a flow.Anyway, the phrase does not convey any meaning and I thought of informing you before removing them. Thanks-RavichandarMy coffee shop 07:10, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
Need help with prose copyedit
Hello Sundar! I need one help and wanted to check with you. At Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of states and union territories of India by population I have been asked to consult some expert editor for help. Thanks in advance. --GPPande 18:56, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
- OK, GP, I'll have a shot at it. -- Sundar \talk \contribs 06:21, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for your help Sundar. As per your suggestion, I have modified the sentence to removed self referencing. Also for the % Vs rate question, I have provided an internal link which will clear the doubts of the reader. Feel free to help or tell more on something that needs to be addressed. I have also found more statewise data for child sex ratio. Do you think I should add one more column in the table for this along side sex ratio one? --GPPande 10:55, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
Raja of Panagal
Hi! How are you??? Yeah, thank you very much. I will look into it. By the way, I attended the meetup at Knowledge Foundation, Chennai on Dec 12. However, there were no Wikipedians (other than me) at the meetup. tc-RavichandarMy coffee shop 12:31, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
Hullo! Just saw the history of my talk page. I am extremely sorry about it. Seems I had failed to notice your message. I've merged "Early political career" and "forundation of the justice party". Well, I haven't yet merged "Minister of Development" and "Chief Minister". What to name it??? "In government"????-RavichandarMy coffee shop 12:41, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
- But if we are to merge "Reforms" with something else, then is it not going to create a hell lot of Level 4 headings. Due to their small size, level 4 headings have always appeared indiscernible from ordinary bold text. -RavichandarMy coffee shop 13:59, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
- Dude, I've made "Reforms" a Level 3 heading under "Chief Minister of Madras". As far as "Non-Brahmin movement" is concerned, the Raja's activities with respect to the Non-Brahmin movement are spread out all over the article. That small section that I devoted is for his involvement in the "All-India" Non-Brahmin movement with the stress on All-India. I am not sure whether it is right to merge the section with the one on "Ideology". I expect your suggestions with regard to this.-RavichandarMy coffee shop 05:35, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
- Oh cool. I just added the citation where you had affixed a citation-needed tag. One point of concern about the article is that I had not been able to find a single photo of this guy, either on the net or in my personal collection. Anyway, I feel that asking for this guy's photo would be a bit too much, given the obscure nature of the early Justice Party leaders and early Chief Ministers of Madras-RavichandarMy coffee shop 14:35, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
- Hmmm! Yeah, but I don't think a photo is mandatory for a GA, is it-RavichandarMy coffee shop 17:06, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- Shall I nominate it?? :-) The article is pretty good and we need not delay any more-RavichandarMy coffee shop 03:06, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
- Done. I've nominated the article. Let's wait and watch how it proceeds and note the feedback-RavichandarMy coffee shop 07:33, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
