A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Subnetweb/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Click here to contest this speedy deletion which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy deletion candidate). Doing so will take you to your user talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also edit this page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. | Uncle Milty | talk | 23:36, 15 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing, because this account has been used only for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to Wikipedia's content policy. Also, your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is against Wikipedia's policy: an account is for an individual, not a group. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a free advertising service.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of this page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:43, 15 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Subnetweb VPS Community Project, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:43, 15 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have some questions:
  1. What is your relation to the website? If you are a heavy user or someone who is involved with the site (staff, creator, etc) then you must state your WP:COI up front. If you were asked to create the page, then you must state this as well.
  2. Are you aware that Wikipedia is not a place to promote something?
  3. If unblocked and want to seek re-creation of the article, will you be willing to only use WP:AfC?
  4. Would you be willing to go through one of the training modules at either WP:ADVENTURE or WP:TRAINING as a show of good faith?
The pages do have a bit of a promotional tone, but I think that it's the tone paired with your username that really made it seem over the top. What I'm mostly concerned with, however, is that the now deleted articles didn't really have any independent sources to show notability. You had many WP:PRIMARY sources (things released by the site or by its affiliates or supporters) but not really anything that was independent of the site itself. It's really, really difficult for computer projects and websites to assert notability on Wikipedia, partially because there can be many out there and most are so niche that they don't really gain a huge amount of coverage. I have to admit that I'm not sure that it will ever pass notability guidelines on Wikipedia, to be honest and it's likely that it would never go beyond the Articles for Creation process. With this in mind, do you have anything else that you would like to edit on as far as Wikipedia goes? Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 11:03, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
