Hello Styrofoam

Thank you for your help with creating theTemplate:Villas of Roman Britain . this is the first time I have created a Template of this sort and hope I have got the procedure right, although I am aware I made a bit of a mess in the initial creation any comments would be grateful. Barnstars

Hi Styrofoam. I couldn't help but notice you appear to have awarded yourself a barnstar on your user page. Is that a mistake in that you put it there after someone had given it to you on the talk page, or something?

Well I wouldn't award yourself a barnstar as a joke - they're supposed to be for people recognising the work of others.

As for the second it isn't so much that it was from a sockpuppet, but the sockpuppet of a user who was already banned. In the real world would you want to put up a congratulatory message on your blog, in a book, etc from someone doing time? It's up to you, but I would remove both. But the user was banned. Any sockpuppet of a banned user is automatically banned when discovered. It's like saying there's no shame in a politician accepting a donation from a criminal because he hadn't been found out at that point. And you weren't really awarded the second barnstar, were you? I'd change the template to read something like "this user has returned a barnstar given by a banned sockpuppet master" as that would demonstrate your good faith.
