User talk:StupidWeasel
June 2010
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, StupidWeasel, may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it it will make it difficult for others to AGF when dealing with you as your username may be offensive to some. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may file for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you. 7 09:37, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for the welcome 7. I read through the username policy before creating this account and have now read through the Assume good faith article, and I'm afraid I do not agree that my username is offensive. Who did you have in mind when considering the offensiveness of my username? Of course if any Wikipedia reading Weasels do find this username offensive I invite them to please post a comment on this talk page and I'll file for a change of username immediately. - I hate to say it, but I'm with stupid on this one. There's no policy violation here, this was a knee-jerk response to report made by a bot that simply looks for certain words and reports them but has no ability to determine the context the word is used in. - Thank you for the welcome Beeblebrox (great username by the way, I'm a big Adams fan). With the pages both you and 7 gave, it looks like I have plenty to read! I'll probably only be making one or small contributions where I see an typo or error - then again I do hear this contriburing lark can be rather addictive.
