Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Stupac88, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Kleiner Device Labs, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.
Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. Please expand on how this article does not meet the notable threshold? There are medical journal publications, coverage on Morningstar, McKinsey and company, yahoo finance, Becker’s healthcare, filings with the SEC, over 30 patent properties, and has been in operation since 2013. Speedy deletion nomination of Kleiner Device Labs
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Kleiner Device Labs, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement of https://kleinerlabs.com/news/. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. PRAXIDICAE🌈 16:00, 15 August 2022 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Kleiner Device Labs Logo (Dark).png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Kleiner Device Labs Logo (Dark).png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:18, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Stupac88. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Kleiner Device Labs, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. signed, Rosguill talk 18:54, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks Rosguill for your explantion. What needs to be removed? I pulled the template from the article wizard, which states the basics of an organization. I pulled the logo from the company website. I also raised a question as to whether the company website should be cited at all if you look at the deleted article (which I don't know how to). How can I prove to the folks my lack of compensation/conflict of interest? It seemed like wikipedia wanted more content on organizations and businesses based on what I read. Stupac88 (talk) 19:32, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
- At this point no further action is needed, but other editors may ask you to justify your editing history, as it currently primarily consists of writing a single article with promotional text, and then complaining about its deletion. If you diversify your editing to include a broader variety of topics, there will likely be no further issues.
- Do note however, that Kleiner Device Labs was not deleted because you were suspected of having a COI: it was deleted for being excessively promotional and for including copyright-violating content from the company's website. Because it was excessively promotional, editors reviewing it suspected you of a conflict of interest, not the other way around. You're welcome to resubmit a policy-compliant version of the article, but per the advice in the prior paragraph, I'd recommend you focus on editing other topics, especially ones that are not commonly subject to paid editing (paid editing rings frequently focus on articles about currently-active companies, organizations, recently-released media, and biographies of people up-and-coming in their fields; my suggestion would be to focus on topics outside those categories). signed, Rosguill talk 20:22, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you kindly for your guidance, I will focus on history and philosophy which are other areas of knowledge/interest. Wikipedia is one of the last bastions of content that rigorously works to keep things objective and thats why I am such a fan. I'm still learning the ropes of the contribution side. How do you determine what content to improve or expand on? Is there a workflow I can tap into? 73.73.135.223 (talk) 23:11, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
- Wikipedia has all sorts of different work backlogs to jump in on. I like to recommend WP:TASK to new editors as a good overview of many different types of work on Wikipedia as well as outlining their relative difficulty levels.
- Also, please be careful not to edit while logged out. signed, Rosguill talk 23:21, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you! the WP:TASK section was exactly what I was looking for. Categorizing is a nice way to start dipping my toes in. New articles are hard as I've learned :). Stupac88 (talk) 05:30, 26 August 2022 (UTC)

Kleiner Device Labs moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Kleiner Device Labs, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Nupamjo (talk) 05:32, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for the guidance. I will look for more sources. I'm still getting the hang of all of the polcies and standards. Stupac88 (talk) 05:36, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
- How do you move to the next WP Task without having to go back and click the random link? Feels like there should be a way to plow through faster. Stupac88 (talk) 05:49, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
AfC notification: Draft:Kleiner Device Labs has a new comment
[edit]- I've added a number of sources that I believe meet the general notability guidelines and reliable independent sources. Thank you for the analysis. Stupac88 (talk) 14:38, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
Your edit to Ultras Malaya
[edit]How is Ultras Malaya at all related to Malay-language films? —C.Fred (talk) 15:43, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
My apologies I had just edited a Malay language film article prior, and I think I must have inadvertently spaced as a result. Stupac88 (talk) 20:54, 27 August 2022 (UTC)

So the FDA, a peer reviewed medical journal (dove press), journalist coverage in reputable media, and financial filings from the SEC are not reliable source? Stupac88 (talk) 21:03, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
And does it make sense to have the same editor who accused me of being a paid editor and blocked me being the arbiter of this? Stupac88 (talk) 21:05, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
- I didn't block you, but I am an AFC reviewer and I go through them randomly by hitting "random" when this popped up. And to answer your question, no, financial filings aren't independent sources because they aren't coverage. PICKLEDICAE🥒 22:20, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
- Someone did, twice, and I still don't understand why, although it was right around the time I was labeled as a paid contributor unfoundedly. What is the analysis of the fda sources, peer reviewed medical journal, and industry media coverage? User:Robert McClenon provided an excellent table outlining his analysis of the source quality with respect to the standards. Stupac88 (talk) 08:02, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
- Yes. My source analysis table shows that the references were all primary sources. I was about to nominate the article for deletion before it was moved into draft space. Please do not cite me in defense of the article. And when you act like a paid editor, please expect people to assume that you are a paid editor until you deny the connection. Robert McClenon (talk) 08:19, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
- You're writing about...
- Potentially independent
- Non-independent
- a business
- News media, government agency
- Owner, employees, corporate website or press release, sales brochure, competitor's website
- Wikipedia:Independent sources Stupac88 (talk) 22:16, 29 August 2022 (UTC)
- And reference-bombing a draft or article with sources including poor-quality sources is not the way to get a draft accepted either. Robert McClenon (talk) 08:22, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
- I was just asking for analysis of the sources. I am not a paid editor. How can I prove that? Stupac88 (talk) 17:55, 29 August 2022 (UTC)
