A tag has been placed on Ara veney requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Rnb (talk) 19:25, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bill Ewing. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. NAHID 07:25, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Which Bill Ewing were you writing about? You speak of the president of Every Tribe Entertainment, but then show filmology for a different Bill Ewing. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 20:53, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
- Per the ref'd bio, I was able to find his films. I just dug through the mess and corrected the article accordingly. He's been in a bunch of stuff... now to find notability. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 21:47, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Okay... I believe I have pushed Bill Ewing from obscurity to notability. I would appreciate any input. Would you opine a keep or a delete at the AfD? Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 00:25, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
Thank You. I definitely would like to keep the article. You have really done a plethora of good things to this article; I am truly thankful.(Studiedgenius (talk) 00:34, 19 December 2008 (UTC))
PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE the AfD tag from the article. It will be removed when the issue is completed. ttonyb1 (talk) 04:21, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
Bill Ewing news....
[edit]IMDB finally accepted the sourced merge of the different Bill Ewing listings in their database that I submitted to them. I have now returned the IMDB external link as it now includes ALL his projects. Thanks for your input at the AfD. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 07:10, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for all of your work and for saving the article and(Studiedgenius (talk) 06:28, 14 January 2009 (UTC))
- It was an honor. Keep up the good works! Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 07:03, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
- And remember... at an future potential AfD of any of your articles, you are encouraged to go to the AfD discussion, type a boldfaced keep and discuss why you think your article should remain. Not doing so might be taken as your not having faith in your own work. So be proud! Keep editing! Best, Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 07:06, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
Good work on dc Talk
[edit]So good to see someone working on dc Talk! Coincidentally, I was about to begin work on the article (as part of a five-day article improvement drive called the Wikipedia Dramaout). It would be nice to collaborate on this. I'll be using Coldplay as a "template" for formatting, etc., as it is a Good Article on a modern band. Keep up the good work! WordyGirl90 20:53, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks! Really, anything would be great--like what you're doing :). I'm thinking some cited quotes on the group's impact on CCM as a whole would be good, perhaps briefly in the Jesus Freak section, seeing that it is often considered one of CCM's greatest rock albums. There's still a few unreferenced statements laying around (Tait's solo career, Free at Last), but the article's in much better shape than it was before. Thanks for the work! Invitation
[edit]- No problem, I'm just glad to see that somebody else is working with Christian music articles. ;-) All you need to do is add one of those userboxes to your user page (or talkpage, if you prefer). With WP:CCM, we don't have a "participants" sign-up list, but instead members are listed in the category: Category:WikiProject Christian music participants. Most of our members are less active these days, so it's nice to see a new face working with these articles. You're doing good work with pages like dc Talk, Brown Bannister and MercyMe! Lemme know if you'd like to collaborate or have input on anything. JamieS93 be kind to newcomers 16:53, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
