Hi Stsfi. Thank you for your polite request. The page was deleted as it failed to meet our rules concerning notability and reliable sources. In order for an article to exist on Wikipedia, it must explain why its topic is notable in its field, and provide reliable references to support that (such as in newspapers, notable websites, journals, and so on). You might find Wikipedia:Why was my page deleted? interesting reading. I hope you will still consider contributing to Wikipedia. Neil ☎ 11:22, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- You find after a bit of practice that it's actually easier to use than HTML - if it is of any comfort, what was there before deletion was formatted properly. If you are able to provide some references for Star Trek:SFI (its own web site would not count), then there'd be no problem in recreating the article. Neil ☎ 11:46, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- If the personal interview was hosted on the ST:SFI website, then it would not be an appropriate source. Uninvolved third party references are required; otherwise we would have millions of articles from people on a topic they had made up themselves and created a website to support it. You could read Wikipedia:Verifiability - this is one of our core policies and explains things better than I could. Best, Neil ☎ 13:44, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
Blocked
[edit]- Actually make that an indefininite block for the legal threat. This can be lifted immediately you rescind the threat. You will also need to sit out the original 72 hour block first. Spartaz Humbug! 22:10, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
