Hey, you're right! Nice spot there. I checked external sources and you're right that his changes are wrong. Some of them are blatantly incorrect, such as [1]. I'll give him a pretty advanced warning for it. Again, sorry for the mix-up! :) --Dreaded Walrus t c 23:58, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

No problem. It seems a lot of his/her entries are in "good faith" but never cite any sources. And when someone attempts to correct him about it he gets offended.
Talk:Enchanted_(video_game)
And for some reason he/she thinks EA made Disney Princesses, Bratz, and Enchanted.
All of those pages I had to edit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Strongsauce (talkcontribs)
Yep. I spent a while looking through his contributions, and I came across something quite interesting. See User talk:3bulletproof16#User:Bratz12 = User:Shawty18?. I'm beginning to think his/her edits are not good faith, and that they may possibly even be a sockpuppet. Anyway, welcome to Wikipedia my friend. I'll put the standard welcome message below this, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask me, either on my talk page or on this one, which I should hopefully see. :) --Dreaded Walrus t c 00:48, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
The user has created a new account, it seems. See User:Dream180. --Dreaded Walrus t c 22:14, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
Yes it seems to be the same person/group? doing it. I have already posted here Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism, but I didn't have much luck reporting Shawty18. I've added this page regarding the vandal Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/216.83.121.194 (5th)

I heard that those users want to put ESPN, EA and THQ out of business and they despise Bratz.--68.44.84.185 05:47, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion

I noticed that you tagged the page Arena Football 3 for speedy deletion with the reason "there is no reason to believe that this game actually exists, searches for Arena Football 3 come up empty for content about this game. Also not mentioned on the EASports website nor Budcat Creations own webpage". However, "there is no reason to believe that this game actually exists, searches for Arena Football 3 come up empty for content about this game. Also not mentioned on the EASports website nor Budcat Creations own webpage" is not currently one of our criteria for speedy deletion, so I have removed the speedy deletion tag. You can use WP:AFD if you still want the page to be deleted. Thanks! Stifle (talk) 12:40, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

Sorry for the late response. I cant fully reply right now as I am in the middle of something. Looks like you may have something here. -- bulletproof 3:16 22:28, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

Your recent edits

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 23:58, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

AIV report for 192.197.77.130

I'm declining the report at WP:AIV for 192.197.77.130 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log) because it isn't obvious that the user's current contributions are vandalism. The last vandalism warning against this user was in mid-August. If you're going to report someone at WP:AIV, please make sure they've been warned and that the edits are definitely vandalism. From my point of view, if anything it looks like a content dispute. --Elkman (Elkspeak) 18:38, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, we remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. The editor has honestly made a mistake in reverting vandalism, the previous warning should be not considered. Happy editing, Snowolf How can I help? 13:58, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:The pain.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:The pain.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 11:12, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the back-up. That guy's just so insistent, with his arguments about Lupin III, which is nothing more than WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. I've read and understood both WP guidelines on external links - he probably didn't sift through all of them. --Eaglestorm (talk) 02:17, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

NASCAR 09

Why is EB Games not a reliable source? To me its more of a reliable source then any magazine as they are actually a licensed retailer of the game. Also I know this is "Original Research" and couldn't be used for as a source, but it is listed at that date in the booklet that Walmart has as to when games/movies are scheduled to be released (my aunt works in the electronic section so I get to look at the listing booklet) Fisha695 (talk) 03:00, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

In short, retailers such as Walmart, Amazon, EBGames, GameStop, HMV only make guesses as to when the game will actually be released. Very rarely are any of the dates listed on their websites ever accurate. Strongsauce (talk) 03:06, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
Actually that is false, well at least for WalMart. They get a list that is updated every week (sometimes twice a week) with the Date that the Publisher told them to expect to be able to release the game. Now I know that date could change, but even when the Publisher puts that date on their official site/PR the date could still get pushed back because thats just the nature of the industry. I'm fine with it being left off until the announcement is made from EA (from what I am hearing within a week or two), but I was just curious as to why EB wasn't an ok source. Fisha695 (talk) 03:51, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
I was more referring to Walmart's website, although looking at it now it seems that they don't have release dates. Again though whatever private information you have can't really be used as a source. Better to wait for a gaming news site to write an article that talks about it, or if there are none, as close to an official source as possible. EBGames putting a date on their site doesn't really mean anything: Example, Dark Sector is coming out March 13 however EBGames' website says it ships March 25 Strongsauce (talk) 06:04, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
Found the VG guideline WP:VG/DATE Strongsauce (talk) 06:49, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the rvs

Much appreciated. :) Dreaded Walrus t c 10:43, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Edge - Hideo Kojima

I've skimmed through the website and Edge comparing random passages of text as I went and it's the same interview. The only difference is that the pictures on the web site aren't the ones that were with the magazine article. If you need it for citation purposes the magazine issue was No. 136 and the article covered pages 69 - 74. If you need any other info just leave me a message. - X201 (talk) 00:04, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

There's no author name on the article and it is the May 2004 edition. - X201 (talk) 08:21, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Mgs3 the boss.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Mgs3 the boss.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page.
