Why don't you read the source properly? This is written in the source:[1]. KurtR (talk) 20:27, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah to her recollection, the whole article that was originally cited describes how she felt she couldn’t remember anything that happened that evening, as if she had been drugged, woke up with bruises, I read better than simply properly. StrongALPHA (talk) 20:42, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
- Yes correct reading and correct presentation is very important in such a delicate area. KurtR (talk) 21:21, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
Friedrich Sieburg and Nazi Party membership
[edit]Reading the de.wiki article, I don't see an outright statement that he joined the party, and the cited sources are print, so there is no way to immediately verify the statement. At any rate, because the assertion that he was a Nazi was added to en.wiki with no reference cited, I have removed it from the article. —C.Fred (talk) 11:45, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- It´s under categories "NSDAP-Mitglied". I´m not trying to make it controversial, only that many people would like to know that. I would assume that German wikipedia would be more reliable on the issue, so I will just make the request back to you that I would like to restore the statement. My sense is that this comes from the book by Peter Longerich "Propagandisten im Krieg"? StrongALPHA (talk) 11:51, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- The German Wikipedia is not reliable, at least not as a direct source. If it comes from the Longerich book, then that's what needs to be cited—but you need to verify that it's in the book, not just go on "your sense" that the book reports it. —C.Fred (talk) 12:11, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
Thought I'd best explain why I have condensed the info regarding the September 2022 missile strike in Poland and Russia's New START withdrawal etc into 2 sentences - the reason being that I have found the section as it is is getting too long and unwieldy, especially when compared to past close calls to a WW3 that are featured in the article. Dugin
[edit]Hi StrongAlpha. As things stand right now, Dugin is a disambiguation page, and we don't need the duplicate Dugin (disambiguation) (though it should exist as a redirect). If you think that Aleksandr is the primary topic for "Dugin", you should probably start a requested move that looks something like:
- Dugin → Dugin (disambiguation)
- Dugin turned into a redirect to Aleksandr Dugin
It would help, in that request move discussion, to bring evidence that Aleksandr is commonly referred to mononymously as "Dugin", as well as usage/long-term significance primary topic evidence. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 17:07, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- Hey, I have once again redirected dugin to "aleksandr", but it should be really clear for anyone who wanted any other page dedicated to anything eles by the same name where they can go. StrongALPHA (talk) 17:16, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- You have never, and still haven't, redirected dugin to "aleksandr". Do you perhaps think you are doing so by adding the hatnote? You would need to actually change the redirect target at Dugin to Aleksandr Dugin. If you don't do so, the hatnote is incorrect. Note that I am not suggesting that you do so, as such a move would be controversial (for example, I would be likely to oppose it) and should only proceed via RM consensus. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 17:19, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- I see your interest in defending the status quo on this issues, which I´ll discuss with you when I have the time, currently the page simply has a link to the disambiguation page. StrongALPHA (talk) 17:21, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- Put simply that page about the surname although it function as disambiguation page, it presents itself as an article about the surname, which is not what anyone is using it for and therefor should both renamed and everything about it doing with the name itself should be changed. The reason I wanted to redirect "Dugin" to Aleksandr Dugin is because of what I suspect that majority of people who are typing that into the search bar are looking for Aleksandr. Could you maybe delete the page about "Dugin", and put it´s conents into Dugin (disambiguation). StrongALPHA (talk) 17:31, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for your fix at Aleksandr Dugin's hatnote. I very mildly oppose having that hatnote there per WP:NOTAMB, but it's less problematic than the redirect template. Unless there's a showing that there exists some primary topic for "Dugin", the dab page should stay at Dugin and Dugin (disambiguation) should be a redirect to it (see WP:NOPRIMARY). I neither agree nor disagree with you about the introductory material at Dugin about the surname, so I wouldn't stand in the way of your trimming it. It does need to at least mention "Dugina", which redirects to that dab page and explains one of the list items (Darya). Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 18:00, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
