Water fluoridation
[edit]Hello, I noticed that you added the "advert" banner at the top of the Water fluoridation article but you did not explain why on the talk page of the article. Could you go there and explain why the tag is needed so we can improve the article. In the mean time, I'm removing the tag because we shouldn't keep it if there is no reason. Thanks. --McSly (talk) 22:33, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

User:Strawkipedia/sandbox
[edit]I had to hide some of the banners on User:Strawkipedia/sandbox as they were causing the page to be listed at Category:Candidates for speedy deletion and I didn't think you wanted it deleted. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 11:47, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
I admit I didn't want my page to get deleted, but I was mainly just showcasing some templates(if I'm allowed?). Strawkipedia (talk) 21:57, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
- There is no problem with showing them. It was just that several caused the page to be listed in odd categories. Now your talk page is in the Category:Candidates for speedy deletion. I don't know why so I asked at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)/Archive 140#Tagged for deletion. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 14:59, 7 September 2015 (UTC)
- I understand that the templates in my sandbox would cause it to be deleted, but who deletes pages, robots or humans?(I'm not trying to be mean) Strawkipedia (talk) 22:32, 7 September 2015 (UTC)
- In this case, CambridgeBayWeather made a typo in his first message, which instead of adding a link to the category, instead caused this page to go into the category. Humans delete pages, not robots; the users with the ability to delete pages are called administrators. However, a lot of pages (most of them being blatantly-obvious junk) get deleted every day; according to the deletion log, there were 2,302 deletions yesterday. With that in mind, administrators occasionally make mistakes because there's so much to do; there's always a chance that your page would be deleted by accident if it's listed as a candidate for speedy deletion, while of course that won't happen if it's not. And finally, we try to keep that category as empty as possible (both by removing pages that shouldn't be deleted and deleting ones that should) as much as possible, and we can get rather annoyed at the situation (not at you!) if there's a page in it that doesn't belong but can't easily be removed. Hope this is helpful; if you have any questions, feel free to come to my talk page and leave a note. Nyttend (talk) 23:21, 7 September 2015 (UTC)
