Ben Nelson
[edit]I'm working on a major rewrite of the part of the Ben Nelson article dealing with his terms as governor. The section as it currently stands is short, poorly organized, and, as you pointed out on the talk page, sadly lacking in the NPOV department. I'm trying to replace it with something well-organized, well-sourced, and generally more informative. I'm planning to organize it under four main heads:
- 1990 election
- First term: 1991-1995
- 1994 election
- Second term: 1995-1999
I'm not sure how I'll manage the 1996 Senatorial bid; will probably put that at the end of the second term, although that'll probably break chronological order somewhat. However, it'll be a while before I have to confront that problem.
As I said on the article's talk page, I'm probably going to work on the new version in userspace and then put it in when I've got a complete section. If you've got the time and interest in collaborating on this, please drop a line at my talk page.

- I'm afraid that I disagree with you re. splitting off a "Cornhusker Kickback" subsection, for reasons that I've laid out at the talk page.
- Currently deep into research on the 1990 gubernatorial election. Unfortunately, I can only read about half a month's worth of microfilmed World-Heralds in a day; more than that and I start bleeding heavily from the eyes. I think I'm going to end up writing an article on Nebraska gubernatorial election, 1990; then I can add a couple of paragraphs about it to the Nelson article, with a "Main Article" tag to steer interested readers to the article on the election. After that, of course, I'll have to go through a similar process for the 1994 election; then work on stuff about the gubernatorial terms. By the time I finish the business about his governorship, he may no longer be a senator...
