Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen (StrategicBlue) seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

What can I do now?

Request reason:

I'm quite happy to remove the link to the Strategic Blue website, and also happy to contribute under my personal name. I want to write generically about "cloud broker-dealers". If you review the text of what I wrote, I was trying to be careful to talk generically about a new market rather than plug my particular company, but it seemed relevant to provide a link to a company website. Now that I look at some other examples, the approved methodology seems to be to start a new page about an individual company, write about it, and then link to that page? Is that what I should do? Would appreciate guidance, as I am new to this

I see, so other people always set up the pages about particular companies - I had assumed that the company wrote a bit of it and then others contributed as they saw fit. Well that is fair enough. I just want to write about the Cloud Broker market in general. Now that I understand how this all works, I'm quite happy to follow the guidelines. Have to say that I'm very impressed with the level of monitoring!

Conflict reminder

Hello StrategicBlue. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article cloud computing, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy.
