Conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Stmarystmba. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page St Mary's College, Toowoomba, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Velella Velella Talk 22:36, 23 January 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to St Mary's College, Toowoomba. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Velella Velella Talk 23:34, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
St Mary's College, Toowoomba
[edit]Please do not add text about former pupils without providing sources. As a convention, alumni are usually only noted if they have existing Wikipedia articles and are thus "Notable" . Thank you. Velella Velella Talk 01:07, 24 January 2019 (UTC)
Editing at St Mary's College, Toowoomba
[edit]Please stop. I have provided advice above about editing with Conflict of interest. If you continue to edit this article I shall be obliged to take this to the WP:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard where admins could consider blocking you from editing here. Please stop now. I am trying to follow your instructions and add content to the College's page. I wish you wouldn't just delete all content after I have worked to put it together, rather than just taking down items that are incorrect. I'm sure not all items are incorrect. If I am making mistakes, I apologise. I am not trying to make things difficult, I have been asked to improve the College's Wikipedia page. I am obviously trying again and again to follow your instructions.

- Can we start with just a few key issues:
- You haven't made a conflict of interest declaration on your user page (it is currently empty) - please do so.
- Please post your suggested text onto the article talk page with a request that other editors add it it to the article if they think it appropriate.
- For the record, I didn't delete your latest table of alumni. Velella Velella Talk 02:59, 24 January 2019 (UTC)
