A tag has been placed on FTOPS V, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. - Hi Steve, as an active member of WP:POKER I love seeing people creating articles on Poker. That being said, you need to make sure that the article meets the requirements established for Notability and Reliable Sources. As a poker fan, I an dubious about the ability to meet the threshold necessary to keep this list and would suggest merging it in with the article on FTOPS instead. But I am willing to let you try to establish the events notability on your own. I am, however, going to place a PROD tag on the page to have it deleted in 5 days. While anybody can remove a PROD tag, yourself included, I would suggest leaving it and working on the article establishing the articles notability with reliable sources. If you remove the PROD tag, then the article would probably be sent to AFD, and while AFD generally lasts 5 days, they often end with SNOW closes and end up distracting the author from developing the article while they defend the article. I wish you luck. If you have any questions feel free to ask me or drop a note at WP:POKER.---I'm Spartacus! The artist formerly known as Balloonman 18:39, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
- Hi, I was discussing this tag in relation to another matter and if it is worth anything, I thought that the five lists would be more notable on the same page? ~ R.T.G 02:16, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on FTOPS II, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because FTOPS II is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting FTOPS II, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself.
