Around
[edit]What is your beef with any use of the word "around", anyway? ViperSnake151 Talk 14:55, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
Haha, I see you've picked up on my hatred for it. It has become cliche to abuse the word in horrible ways. The dictionary definition of "around" involves some kind of curvature or scatter. People use it as a substitute for "about" or an indiscriminate variety of other prepositions. Can you picture aligning something around something else? Most words have an appropriate preposition (based on, align with, a discussion about) that seems to be getting steamrolled by "around" for no reason lately, ruining the visual crafted by prepositional nuance. I invite you to join me in the fight against prepositional abuse. Or should that be "around" it? Steven (talk) 06:28, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
