File copyright problem with File:Caol Uno.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Caol Uno.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Peripitus (Talk) 10:36, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of File:Brock Lesnar Fighting.jpg
[edit]Speedy deletion of File:Caol Uno.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Caol Uno.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --aktsu (t / c) 10:53, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit]The recent edit you made has been reverted, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. You can't take screenshots from the broadcasts and upload them. --aktsu (t / c) 10:54, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Susan Denberg.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:05, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

Request reason:
This was a mistake on my part, and was not done with malicious intent. At the time of editing that information I was truly of the belief that he was in fact the 38th president. Prior to the edit I had just finished up doing some reading/research on him as well as a few of the presidents preceding and succeeding him, and somehow came to believe he was the 38th president. Even up until today I was still of that belief. After becoming aware of this block just today, believing that a Wikipedia moderator had likely made a mistake in blocking me, I went back and took a more scrutinous look at presidential chronology, and it wasn't until then that I realized that my belief had been incorrect. I'm not one hundred percent certain as to how I ever came to that conclusion, but I'm guessing that it was a result of me somehow confusing vice presidential chronology with presidential chronology, perhaps misreading Lyndon Johnson's being the 37th "vice president" as him being the 37th "actual president." It's been awhile since the day I was reading up on the presidents from that era and made that edit, so again I'm not one hundred percent certain as to what led to my misbelief, but that edit was certainly not done out of malice or mischief. It was an innocent mistake. And regarding the moderator's accompanying note ("I see many contributions of questionable constructiveness from this account since your previous block, and the blatant misinformation at Richard Nixon was completely inappropriate.") I'm not certain as to what they're refering to when they say they see "many contributions of 'questionalbe' constructiveness." I wouldn't mind a little bit more specificity on that assertion. Also, I'm not sure that "completely inappropriate" is the most accurate way of describing the act of a person making a mistake regarding historical data.Steve406sbc (talk) 23:34, 23 November 2012 (UTC)
Accept reason:
After a little consideration, I see no reason that I shouldn't unblock this account. The original report at WP:AIV was here. It is highly likely that I misread the date/year of the previous block, which led me to presume that you had few if any edits in the interim. While I might have found something to support the original reporter's claim of "[h]istory of ... factual errors" at the time, I don't see anything substantive, at least not since your previous block. Thank you for posting this unblock request, and to User:Anthony Bradbury for alerting me. I will assume good faith that your indication that this particular instance was a mistake rather than an attempt to disrupt the encyclopedia; I will ask that you please fact-check yourself more thoroughly in the future, though. :) Happy editing. --Kinu t/c 20:48, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
