Election results

Hi - it's great to see the very useful additional election results which you are adding. Just two comments: firstly, please check the order in which existing results are listed. Typically, this is from most recent to earliest. Secondly, where you have the turnout figure and percentage, you can incorporate these in the {{Election box turnout}} template - this helps present information in a more standard way than adding them to the header. If I may also comment. Its good to see you adding these results but a good number of the results boxes you've added have no information in them. Those of us engaged in adding the results have generally avoided doing this as it misleads casual readers to expect the data when they consult the page. Hello Steve. All of your recently created (copied and pasted, to be more clear) articles are very close to the speedy deletion criterion {{db-nocontent}}. Don't you want to stop and add at least the basic information about the wards (location and source)? This way of creating empty articles is not helpful. I've renamed some of the articles you have created. Where the name is ambiguous (because there are wards of the same name in other districts) I have renamed to X (Birmingham ward) e.g. Longbridge (Birmingham ward). Where the ward name is unique in the UK I have renamed to X (ward) e.g. Kings Norton (ward). MRSC (talk) 10:29, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

CSD & PROD of wards

Hi, Steve. As you can see, several editors and admins have agreed tat the mass creation of empty stubs is not really a good idea - They will almost certainly get rapidly deleted for lack of content. It's just as easy to create each ward article one-by-one when you have the data to put in it, and tat will save you all the trouble of having to recreate the deleted pages. Status and Advice

As reviewing administrator, I need to give you some advice--you must give a little more information than you have been giving. I gather this is a electoral ward in Broadstairs, Kent, but I can not find any specific references to the election, nor to what post the election may have been for. Similarly for the other articles above--I gather they are similar, but are the elections for the local council, or what? There is presumably a local newspaper, and is has the information.

It's a shame doing the work and having the articles be deleted, so please add some basic geographic information, an explanation of what the election was, some results from prior and subsequent elections, and references.
