RE: Marcus Trescothick picture

[edit]

(The following from User:sb2k4 on 10 July 2005)

The website I found this picture on has no dated copyright. In fact the only indication of a date on this particular page is an image near the top of the page, which is clearly marked '2001'. Feel free to change it to whichever format you wish, this was just some reasoning.

Photos

[edit]

Goodness me, oops. I had completely forgotten about those. Whether they would qualify as fair use, I don't know, but as they're not in use, I'd imagine they wouldn't. I'm not certain that they should go through WP:CP; personally, I'd choose WP:IFD. So, in short, I make no assertion. Cheers, smoddy 11:33, 22 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Stephen, i've now attached the source tag, if you could just check that I have done it correctly i would be most grateful, thankyou very much, Jimmy.

Darren Gough

Thanks for removing the trivia section there; it's been irritating me for a while and I was going to remove it when I expanded the article, but haven't got around to it. Incidentally, once the article is expanded I hope there'll be room for your other photo! Loganberry (Talk) 16:13, 6 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Collaboration of the fortnight

[edit]

Stephen, West Indian cricket team has been the CotF for the last three or four weeks and it might be time to move. I can work in the background and do the remaining part of history (maybe with the help of jguk or someone else). Not sure what else to do though. Meanwhile, it might be a good idea to pick something else for Cotf, or discuss about this in Project Cricket.

Any comments on the way the decades are written so far ? Are the length and readability okay ? Tintin 07:12, 12 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Wasim Akram photograph

[edit]

This picture has been cited in every major cricket coverage since 1992 - hence public domain, in my opinion. However, I have not been able to find any specific comments about the status of the picture. Please let me know what kind of evidence are you looking for and I will try to get it. Thanks Taptee

I would have given you a 'crusader' barnstar except that in these times it won't be considered a politically correct thing :-) Anyway, great effort. Tintin 14:23, 24 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
