Ok we have a problem. Your edits are not formatted properly = you are removing all the references - the categories - all the internal links etc,,,, So lets slow down for now. Pls see Help:Editing and Wikipedia:Editing policy. So with those read lets make you a sandbox you can use to copy edit in User:Stephen G. Granger/Sandbox (click the red link for a private user page). I will post more in a few hours when I am home. PS pls also read WP:3RR as i will be restoring the articles because with no categories etc.. the articles are not improved what so ever nor can goggle find them now.Moxy (talk) 01:03, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
- (I had an edit conflict when I tried to save this, with Moxy's very good advice below)
Hello Mr./Dr. Granger, I've reviewed your recent edits and have some comments:
- We welcome your desire to conribute your expert knowledge to improving our articles. If you can show reliable sources, especially review or third-party sources, which support your revised wordings, we are happy to have knowledgable people editing around here!
- In your choice of account name and by the content of your user page, you claim to be a living individual with a doctorate and journal publications to your credit. I would suggest that you may wish to confirm at least your identity through our confidential open ticket system, where they can confirm your identity (and qualifications) and issue a ticket number for you to place on your user page. This is not mandatory, but I recommend it if you are going to use your own name here.
- Your editing activities, to my appearance, seem to 1) break formatting and remove existing material without explanation;[1] and 2) massively include your own name. [2][3][4][5] You just now appear to be a "spammer", so it would be in all our interests to talk here about what your goals are in editing here. We want your expertise, but we can't have erasure of exiosting articles and apparent self-promotion alongside.
As a summary, you do seem to show a conflict of interest and you have been making problematic edits. In future, beside confirming your identity as mentioned above, I would suggest that you make article changes in areas where you are directly involved by first opening a discussion thread on the article talk page where you can propose the change and wait for other editors to comment. Depending on the article, this can take 5 minutes or 5 days. Please respond here to my comments as it serves to keep discussion central. Regards! Franamax (talk) 05:28, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
I have asked for ...
[edit]I have asked for some help as I will not be around much for the next few days. Pls see HERE. I would also urge you not to post here on Wikipidia (to anyone ever!!) your personal phone number, address or an email that you hold dear. For more info on this see Wikipedia:On privacy, confidentiality and discretion. Moxy (talk) 05:21, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
