Speedy deletion nomination of Yiftee

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Yiftee requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Regarding Yiftee

[edit]

Information icon Hello Stefanoslazaridis. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a black hat practice.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Stefanoslazaridis. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Stefanoslazaridis|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you answer this message. Ian.thomson (talk) 21:27, 8 August 2016 (UTC) @Ian.Thomson I am not being paid to create and or contribute to this page. I took it upon myself to create it after being hired for 5 months now. I noticed my company lacked a wiki page so i took it upon myself to create it. Again I am in no way being compensated for building this page. I did it as a hobby and for my friends read up on the company I work for because I am sick of explaining it to them.[reply]

Whether or not you disclose employment, because you work for Yiftee you have a conflict of interest and should not create or edit an article about Yiftee. If you continue to try to work on it, it will only look like you are being paid (either directly or indirectly). The instructions for paid editors given above are still valid if you are not being directly paid but are still employed by the company. Ian.thomson (talk) 21:38, 8 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop attacking other editors, as you did on User talk:Bbb23. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Ian.thomson (talk) 00:18, 9 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
