explanation

Any explanation for this? A 31 hour block has been placed. Archtransit (talk) 20:13, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Archtransit: User:Bluehole has a serious conflict of interest problem (see the report I filed), has repeatedly refused to engage in discussion on the talk pages, and the "preferred version" he is reverting to is a direct violation of WP:BLP. I suggest you've blocked the wrong person. Stawiki (talk) 20:16, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hello Stawiki, I'm reviewing this situation, give me half an hour to figure out what's going on here. Fut.Perf. ☼ 20:21, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- OK, thanks. Whether or not my conflict resolution skills are need of a tune-up, I certainly should not have been blocked for "vandalism" (I have contributed as an anon IP for a long time, and know how the system works.) I think User:Bluehole needs to be blocked from articles related to his website. WP:BLP, WP:COI and WP:OWN all seem pretty relevant. Stawiki (talk) 20:24, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Wait, I may unblock you in a minute. Archtransit (talk) 20:32, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- The larger problem here is User:Bluehole; what is almost certainly going to happen is continual reverting on his part no matter what edits I make. Instead of going the usual wiki "escalation" route (WP:3RR reports, etc.) can we perhaps get someone else involved here? Stawiki (talk) 20:34, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- I have left a warning at his talk page, explaining that if he did not start using the talk page rather than the article itself to resolve disputes, further action would be taken. That applies to BOTH people. --Jayron32.talk.contribs 20:39, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- I am still unable to edit despite my block log being cleared; apparently my IP is blocked as well. Stawiki (talk) 20:40, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- That was an "autoblock", I've lifted it now. Fut.Perf. ☼ 20:44, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- I am still unable to edit despite my block log being cleared; apparently my IP is blocked as well. Stawiki (talk) 20:40, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- OK, thank you. Can you suggest a way to recruit a third-party in to this, perferably someone with experience of WP:BLP issues? Stawiki (talk) 20:45, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:BLP may help. When one blanks a page or section, it resembles what happens too often in Wikipedia, vandalism. It's a frantic race to fix it. Sorry. Archtransit (talk) 20:50, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Stawiki, is a temporary solution to put a citation needed tag? {{cn}} looks like [citation needed] . Archtransit (talk) 21:01, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Not really. This is an undue weight issue. Stawiki (talk) 21:02, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'll keep the page watchlisted, but I'm afraid I won't probably find much time to get active myself on the case. I understand the issue is already at the "conflict-of-interest" noticeboard, right? If you don't get enough outside response there, the BLP noticeboard Archtransit linked to would be the best place to ask for help. Fut.Perf. ☼ 21:05, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. Bluehole and I are in discussion right now so it might not be necessary. Stawiki (talk) 21:06, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Hey Stawiki, I noticed you have now edited Simic and others, which makes me think you may have a conflict of interest agenda. Since you know who I am, I think it's only fair that you disclose who you are so that I might see if you hold some sort of personal interest in removing the material. COI works both ways, agreed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bluehole (talk • contribs) 21:59, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Allan: I have no COI here; I found your attack site "foetlaurate" on Simic's page juvenile and unelightening as did many other people you have reverted. I have edited Graham's page for the same reason I edited Sacks and we can discuss that on those pages. Stawiki (talk) 22:16, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
I did not create that site.Bluehole (talk) 23:01, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Could you refer to something specific when you say WP:BLP is strict? If not, I will revert the edit. What is the rationale for hiding the link to the foetlaureate site? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bluehole (talk • contribs) 04:43, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- Read the third paragraph of "reliable sources": [1]. Stawiki (talk) 06:03, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
