I wanted to attest to the fact that in no way is this article a form of advertisement. My primary reason for writing it is to bring to light the kind of work done for the sake of children and the efforts made to make sure that NICU occupants and their premature babies are comfortable and well looked-after. Not many (if any) do exactly what Dreaming About Giraffes does. Please consider letting this article be. I reckon it does some good, if anything. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cikokwu (talkcontribs) 18:18, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi! Even if the article wasn't written like an advertisement, it would need some proof of its notability, so as not to be deleted. However, if you're closely affiliated to the subject of the article, it might be better to have someone else write it, so as to avoid a conflict of interests. Happy editing. DAVE GRAY

what im writing about Dave Grey is the truth i thought thats what wiki was all about the truth —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.157.206.251 (talk) 19:01, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi! Wikipedia is about verifiability, not truth. Unless you can find a reliable source to confirm such controversial statements, your edits will keep on getting reverted. StaticGull  Talk  19:05, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Contrafactual history

Actually, I had created the page to provide a redirect, as per WP:REDIRECT, as per the successive edits, as "contrafactual history" is a term that discusses alternate histories and, as nothing exists to redirect it, I thought it might be good to have something there.. Sorry, I should have put up a men at work sign, or some such thing. Might I ask that it be removed from Speedy Deletion consideration?
Also, could you tell me how to avoid these misunderstandings in the future? - Hexhand (talk) 11:21, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi! I've removed the speedy deletion tag. The "men at work" sign you're reffering to can be used by adding {{Inuse}} to the top of the article, but creating the article on a subpapage of your userpage is generally preferred. For tips on creating new pages, WP:FIRST is a good read. Happy editing! StaticGull  Talk  11:33, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Yep, someone already pointed that out to me. Thanks for redacting the nom. I did read FIRST, but missed the bit on 'inuse'. As for creating them on a sub-page, I am unsure how I would convert them over to regular article space when done. - Hexhand (talk) 12:59, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
To transfer the page whilst keeping a copy of it, just click on "edit page" on the source page (user subpage), and copy and paste the content to the destination (main space) page. StaticGull  Talk  12:47, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Aaargh!!!!

why did you revert my edit[1]!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.229.142.199 (talk) 15:54, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

Like you said yourself, due to bad behavior. :-). StaticGull  Talk  15:59, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

Edit reverting

May I ask why you're flagging a move of info from body text to infobox as "unexplained removal of content"? --66.102.80.212 (talk) 15:37, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

My mistake, your string of edits set off a red flag. Happy editing! StaticGull  Talk  15:43, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Sorry for the short content

I am currently in the process of populating my wikipedia page with information.

Neil-One (talk) 15:50, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi! To avoid any of your future articles getting deleted, it might be useful de develop the article on a subpage of your userpage first, before copying it to the mainspace. WP:FIRST also contains some good tips. Happy editing! StaticGull  Talk  15:57, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

im not sure if this is a private message. i am new here. hi, i recently noticed that my page was up for deletion. as i say it is a character in a story. these "spam links" are 1: to show you what the character is from and 2: to see a picture of it. they are not at all spam. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Supersilver1 (talkcontribs) 16:56, 20 July 2008

Hi! This could be seen as a private message, but not entirely, as anyone can view this page, and it's open to talk page stalkers :-). It might be better to explain the inclusion of the links at the article's AfD page, as I only have a small influence in the deletion of the article. Also, please remember that the inclusion of those links is not the only (possible) issue to trouble the article. Happy editing! StaticGull  Talk  16:16, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

FYI - blocked 31 hours for disruption, article deleted and protected to prevent recreation. He's clearly the same person who created the article a couple of days ago and was indef blocked, but since the article's protected I'll keep an eye on his edits to see if he starts to contribute productively. GBT/C 12:11, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Good to hear. Keep up the good work :-)! StaticGull  Talk  12:16, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Actually, sorry, I think I meant to leave that message for SoWhy...he expanded on your report, and my comments were more aimed at replying to his expansion. Anyway, erm, sorry about that! GBT/C 12:17, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Ah, right :-). StaticGull  Talk  12:19, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

why delete it —Preceding unsigned comment added by Davis250 (talkcontribs) 13:10, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

If you're referring to Health and safety hero, it was deleted because it was patent nonsense. And please refrain from making personal attacks. StaticGull  Talk  13:17, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

CNA

I think all the CNA redirects are valid - see this message. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 12:45, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

I suppose the pages could remain redirects to discourage the creation of duplicate articles. Those pages just acted like red flags. StaticGull  Talk  13:00, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

I am amused that the two which were just a bit implausible you did not touch: College of the North Atlantic Baie Vert Campus and College of the North Atlantic Baie Verte. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 13:27, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Ay, I was using my recent pages list on Huggle to quickly tag them all. StaticGull  Talk  15:59, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

TGN

Hello there. For some reason the subject "Total Gaming Network" does not seem valid enough for even a place on the TGN disambiguation page. I have read the WP policies on this issue and have concluded that a rationale is not needed for a disambiguation page. If you disagree, please provide evidence. I will be adding it back now. (Sorry if this message seems curt, but I am in a hurry.) --CaptainKirk2000 (talk) 21:59, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

I was actually hoping that we could settle the dispute on the article's mediation page. StaticGull  Talk  15:49, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

I made new additions to SCIENCE DAWN and SCIENCE REALM, which are formerly black high speed aircraft projects. I hope wiki-geeks will bring my contributions into proper formatting compliance as I am a newbie. I made every effore to author original text using historical factual information as a basis with no copyright violations.

Jerry Jjirvine (talk) 16:00, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi! Your contributions have been added to the Science Realm page. Happy editing! StaticGull  Talk  16:17, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

louis pappas

he didn't invent the potato salad, he is credited with puttin it in the grrek salad for the first time. also that is not what the article is about. it is a chef bio. Jwither1 (talk) 16:45, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi! It might be better if you discuss the deletion of the article on its Afd entry. StaticGull  Talk  16:59, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Regarding article on "Rufus Osgood Mason"

To whom it may;

Can you please let me complete the article in question that I am still constucting? The information that I am presenting has viable backup and purpose.

Thank You;

Hi! It might be better to create and develop the article on a subpage of your user page first, and move it when it's ready to be placed in the mainspace. Don't forget that you can place {{hangon}} below the speedy deletion tag. StaticGull  Talk  17:03, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

update: Rufus Osgood Mason

Dear StaticGull;

I noticed that I made a "Main Heading Error". His middle name should be "Osgood" not "Osborne".

There is additional details of verification that I will submit, and hope that other on Wiki contributors to this article will do likewise.

Thanks for your help

A. Edward Moch —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aedwardmoch (talkcontribs) 18:26, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi! I've moved the article to Rufus Osgood Mason, so that problem should be fixed now. Happy editing! StaticGull  Talk  11:04, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Why do you block my bands wikipedia page??!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sander Bastard (talkcontribs) 13:00, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi! If you're referring to the Bloodbastard page, the article doesn't indicate why it's notable. Instead of constantly recreating the exact same article, it would be better to prove that it's notable first, per WP:MUSIC. StaticGull  Talk  13:05, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Bloodbastard

Hey, thanks for keeping an eye on it. FYI I've just salted it as that's the third time I've speedied it today. —Sean Whitton / 13:02, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
