Hello! I'm writing in reply to your comment. I work for the Columbia University Rare Book & Manuscript Library, and according to the Wikipedia Library page what I am doing is allowed as the finding aids in our collection directly relate to the subject or person. However, care should be used when linking to archival collection descriptions or finding aids—if the editor is affiliated with the holding institution they should only include links to collections which would provide the best information about a topic. The editor should take care to include links to other important collections located at other institutions. You seem to be promoting the institution which employs you. You do not seem to be selective enough and, having looked at random at a few of the links you've provided, they seem to be rather... well, sparse. We cannot have every institution add links to their catalogs en masse to Wikipedia. You need to be highly selective rather than working systemically. El_C 00:16, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I would have to agree with this. I believe your heart is in the right place and, as a former university library special collections employee, I would also recommend you use some more intentional judgment as to which links should be added.
