Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Colfe's School appears to have added a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Thank you for your advice; I will review my additions. I can select names for entry with some authority given my time as Headmaster of the School. Some of the names entered earlier than my entries e.g. the cricketers, are a good deal less notable but I will check for pre-existing articles for entrants. I will only select those who are national leaders in their field. Once I have made the entries, will they appear in the same style as the others?
I should also like to enter a list of the headmasters of the school; is that easy? I am a novice! StanleyAnt (talk) 15:47, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, thank you for your reply. As a previous staff member, you have a conflict of interest. I'll post the guidance below. Tacyarg (talk) 19:48, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for directing me to the Conflict of Interest (CoI) advice which I have read. In putting up the names of Colfeians who have achieved distinction in their lives, and whose reputation is at least as great as those whose names are on the current list, no CoI has occurred. I see that the names I added have now been removed. Is it worth putting up those names again with improved references? A list of the school's headmasters since it refoundation by Abraham Colfe in 1652 would be valuable information for those with an interest in the school and no CoI would be involved. Can you advise me how to add such a list? Thank you Tacyarg StanleyAnt (talk) 09:39, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
