Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page 9 (2009 film) has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://www.youtube.com/9themovie (matching the regex rule \byoutube\.com). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. Video links are also strongly deprecated by our guidelines for external links, partly because they're useless to people with slow internet connections.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 16:34, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added such as to the page Taking Woodstock do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in this edit to The Boat That Rocked. Inappropriate links include links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that serve as advertising or promotion. Thank you. - RUL3R*trolling*vandalism 16:51, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Pirate Radio

[edit]

Pirate Radio (flim) has been deleted as a copyright violation. The material was available on the Internet in September which means you copied it from somewhere. See also my remarks at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Page Redirected and Cannot be Undone. Pirate Radio

[edit]

No, it is not "extremely important" that the US recut has a seperate article; any details can be adequately covered in The Boat That Rocked, which is where they belong. I've raised the issues with WP:FILM. PC78 (talk) 10:52, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Boat that Rocked vs Pirate Radio

[edit]

How are the two films different? You have mentioned it several times but not indicated in what way. Do they have different actors, does the action take place in different countries or is the story line changed? Were multiple scenes done again for the US release? Whatever differences there are between the two should be contained within one article that is named after the original film. Having a second version of the article that does not in any way explain to the reader how it is a different film will be far more confusing to all readers and not just those from the US. By the way, contrary to your belief, I think that American audiences are smart enough to be able to understand the fact that the film was renamed without having two articles.
