Wigner map revert in Density matrix
[edit]Hi, and welcome; perhaps we could discuss this more, but the point of the wikilink to Weyl quantization is so as to have some reference/explanation whatever of the meaning of the Wigner and Weyl maps that are inverses of each other, and are not fully accounted for in the Wigner quasi-probability distribution article. Otherwise, the Wigner transform of the von Neumann equation would appear obscure, and would lead to disturbing misconceptions rampant even in the penumbra of the literature! Perhaps, if you have the time and attention to lavish on the subject, you could go ahead and shape good explanations for the Wigner/Weyl map inverse relationship, etc.... Most people in the community overcome the misleading naming of "Weyl quantization" and quickly appreciate it is a systematic equivalent change of representation, and not really a "quantization", and never look back... But it would be nice if you added explanatory material for the general reader, instead of removing such. Cuzkatzimhut (talk) 14:48, 9 February 2012 (UTC) Logically, such explanations would belong to representations of the Heisenberg group, but that article is a bit top heavy... See what you could do!
