Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, S0091 (talk) 18:13, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Krish DrishtiShirt.jpg. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Vladlen Manilov / 08:00, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest editing

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Srayanta. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Krishnendu Chaudhury, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 23:20, 31 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Melcous,
I do not believe I have a conflict of interest with this particular page on Krishnendu Chaudhury. I briefly worked with Krishnendu at Flipkart but did not have any formal relationship, other than a senior colleague and scientist. Since then Krishnendu and I went our different ways in different companies. I do follow Krishnendu's work from a scientific standpoint being an AI Scientist myself at the BCGX-AI Institute. I do not have any paid or any other current relationship with Krishnendu. My efforts to create this page was a way to learn editing on Wikipedia and as Krishnendu was a scientist who I have respected and followed for some time, it was a natural choice.

@Srayanta:, thank you for replying. If you do not have any relationship with Chaudhury other than previously briefly working together, could you please explain where you got this image [1], which you uploaded as your own work? Thank you Melcous (talk) 12:36, 4 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Melcous,
I took the image from https://google.academia.edu/KrishnenduChaudhury which is a free resource and I have also referred to when uploading the file. It is not my own work. I might have accidentally selected that option when uploading the file, as it was my first time.

File permission problem with File:Krish DrishtiShirt.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Krish DrishtiShirt.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 05:33, 2 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Krishnendu Chaudhury

[edit]

Hello, Srayanta,

Thank you for creating Krishnendu Chaudhury.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

You include nothing that speaks to the notability criteria WP:NG. A long list of patents/publications does not show it. The article also has too many WP:PEACOCK terms that need to be removed.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Ldm1954}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Notice

The article Krishnendu Chaudhury has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG and WP:NBIO. There's no WP:SIGCOV for this individual. List of publications and patents do not confer notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
