If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on File:Numberf.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/number-fiesta/id488561573?mt=8. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Springmixer, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Click here to contest this speedy deletion which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy deletion candidate). Doing so will take you to your user talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also edit this page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JBH (talk) 00:19, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion

[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --Springmixer (talk) 00:26, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the jpg images that caused this notice to be placed. I didn't realize they would cause this problem, so they have been removed.Springmixer (talk) 00:26, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --Springmixer (talk) 00:35, 23 February 2015 (UTC) the images and links that I have placed to outside sources have been removed. I didn't realize they would cause this problem, therefore they have been removed.Springmixer (talk) 00:35, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for being willing to modify your user page. It is still, however overly promotional for Wikipedia in my opinion. I will post a canned message below this that gives some guidance on how you should use your user space with links to more information. Pretty much no links to outside sites that are related to a commercial entity should be on your page. Also, your user name, being the name of your company, is considered promotional. Check out Wikipedia:Username policy for more information. It also describes how you can change your username. I wish you, a possibly bit bumpy :) , welcome to Wikipedia. JBH (talk) 00:42, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Use of user space pages

Wikipedia is not a social media site. Your talk page is intended for collaboration with other users while improving Wikipedia. Your user page can be used to give a brief description of who you are but it is not appropriate to post a resume or material which may be seen a promotional. Nor should your user space be used to host articles. Please see Wikipedia:User pages, WP:NOTSOCIALNETWORK and WP:FAKEARTICLE for our rules. Cheers. JBH (talk) 00:42, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion

[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --Springmixer (talk) 01:08, 23 February 2015 (UTC) I just created a request to change my user name. I don't know how long it will take to change, but it will no longer be Springmixer soon. Thank you for your responses.Springmixer (talk) 01:08, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm going to leave the CSD tag on your userpage for now. After your username is changed, if you remove the external links to springmixmedia, and the work history (stating who you work for now is fine), then I believe your userpage is perfectly acceptable. A userpage should focus on things that are relevant to what you're doing here on Wikipedia. Stating who you work for is fine, as it can show where you might have a conflict of interest. In other words, you're being transparent it, which is a good thing. Your education history is fine as it shows what you might have expertise in or topics you may be interested in editing about. Hopefully this all makes sense... and let me know if you need help. Thanks MusikAnimal talk 02:00, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I have made the changes you suggested. All external links, and any mention of work history are removed. Thank you and I hope the page is correct now!ReddiePurple (talk) 02:47, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good. Glad to see you got your username changed as well. That being said, allow me to formally welcome you Wikipedia! Up at the top of this page another user left you some links that you may find useful. If you ever need help don't hesitate to ask me, or type {{Help me}} here on your talk page along with your question and someone will come by and answer it. Best! A welcome for your new user name

You have been given a box of ferrets!

ReddiePurple - Thank you for how you handled your initial issues here. I think you have the attitude to be a great Wikipedian. There is no Barnstar for this but ferrets make me happy, the way you handled things made me happy so....

File permission problem with File:Word Pix.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Word Pix.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:03, 19 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
