Welcome!

Hello, Spiritbearkeiko, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one of your contributions does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  EnviroboyTalkCs 14:31, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have restored the redirection of Lucy (elephant)Valley Zoo. Wikipedia is not a directory or a news source, and at present, there does not appear to be anything to suggest that this particular elephant warrants a permanent encyclopaedia entry; additionally, maintaining a neutral point of view is a core Wikipedia principle, and the article as written appeared to be extremely biased. Obviously, you are free (within reason) to restore the article, but if it's restored in its present biased state and no effort is made to address the issue of bias or to provide sourcing from reliable sources to demonstrate her notablity in Wikipedia terms, I think the article will need to be deleted or at the very least, heavily trimmed to remove bias. – iridescent 22:22, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Lucy (elephant), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lucy (elephant). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message.  – iridescent 20:55, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD typically lasts for 7 days. Consensus in this particular discussion was to redirect. If you feel my decision to redirect was made in error, feel free file a request at WP:DRV, but please do not revert to your preferred version of the article. Thank you. –Juliancolton | Talk 15:56, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
