Why do you keep removing this image from the Michael Stipe article, in a section where no image currently exists? -->David Shankbone 19:51, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry. Didn't know I did. Please repost.

[edit]

Can you explain your edits to Michael Stipe? You are removing sourced information in a biography of a living person, replacing it with poorly written unsourced information. I will continue to revert. If you place it again you may be blocked. Please use the talk page of the article to discuss what you think the article lacks. Thank you. --Moni3 (talk) 20:21, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted your edits and you have continued to remove cited information from this article. If you do it again you will be blocked. --Moni3 (talk) 20:27, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Stipe edits

[edit]

Why? Your edits to Michael Stipe (including this one) include several passages that have citation-like information written in them like this "lorem ipsum.[9]" but since they do not use citation templates or the <ref> tag, they do not actually refer to any particular source. Can you please explain what is going on here? Please respond on my talk.

I suggest that you post to Talk:Michael Stipe to explain what it is you want done to the article to improve it. —Justin (koavf)TCM02:13, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your email

[edit]

I received your email and I apologize for not responding sooner. I was away from my computer for most of the weekend. I will reply here because this should be discussed on Wikipedia instead of in email. These are the edits in question:

[1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6].

Your edits did the following:

  • Removed citations, replacing them with bracketed numbers that did not correspond to any listed sources.
  • Restored unsourced information that may be sensitive to a BLP: Stipe was also featured on the cover of BUTT Magazine in 2003.
  • Removed links to other articles that are relevant to the subject

It is difficult to maintain an article that already needs to be improved. It does not, however, need to be degraded any further. If you are interested in Stipe and are concerned about inaccuracies in the article, work with other editors watching the page. Approach the subject on the talk page. Change what needs to be changed, but always include a source, and do not remove sourced information unless it is without a doubt inaccurate and the source unreliable per the reliable source policy. If you are unsure how to use citations, check out the WP:CITE policy and how to use citation templates for new users.

If you have questions I will be happy to answer them. You may reply to me here. I am watching your page. --Moni3 (talk) 13:18, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know-- I'm very new to this and I will try my best to learn all the rules. Spinthekitty2001 (talk) 22:28, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
