Friendly advice
[edit]Hi SpinningCeres! I hope you're doing well and that you're having an awesome day! I wanted to let you know that I (happily) responded to this IP user's unblock request and declined it. Just some friendly advice from one editor to another: Don't put any kind of "obligation" upon yourself to respond to or address any ridiculous or completely-baseless accusations like the one that the IP user made about you and Materialscientist being sock buddies. ;-) Wanna know something crazy (and perhaps funny)? I started here as a vandal and troll too! Seriously! Look at my contributions and jump to my very first ones. It sounds like you did the same. Oh well, no big deal. You've moved on and you did the same thing I did back in the day when I was new - you jumped the fence and wanted to start doing good things here, and you have. If users like this person make ridiculous accusations or try and discredit your current correct actions because of your past, that's something that I wouldn't even waste my time with responding to or trying to address. People who resort to that kind of reasoning behind their own actions are the same kind of people that you'll never convince differently from the opinions that they crafted and taped together based off of... pretty much nothing. Don't waste your time. Instead, you could've been spending that time making more great contributions, addressing issues, helping another user who actually wants to be here and benefit the project, the list goes on! Don't let them drain your enthusiasm for this project, and definitely don't let them drain your precious time that you choose to spend helping this encyclopedia to grow. You don't have to prove anything to anyone, and you don't owe anyone an explanation if their accusations come from out their... you-know-whats... ;-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 04:06, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you for the advice, kind words, and declining the unblock request! SpinningCeres (talk) 04:13, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
- No problem. I was happy to handle that unblock request. ;-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 04:16, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
A Night at Switch n' Play
[edit]I am the director of A Night at Switch n' Play and am asking for corrections to errors on the page. I am following the guidelines based in this wikipedia contact page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Contact_us/Article_subjects)
I am asking for the identities and pronouns of the performers to be corrected. There's a lack of neutral and straightforward language that misrepresents living people based on a poorly sourced material (as outlined in this Wikpedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons#Remove_contentious_material_that_is_unsourced_or_poorly_sourced).
The Queer Guru source that is cited for the cast descriptions contains a number of original interpretations or descriptions of the performers that can be considered offensive, and these descriptions are also reproduced word-for-word. This source's descriptions are not accurate and misinterpret the characterizations offered in the film. The language in this article regarding the cast's description is transphobic, defamatory and contentious.
As stated in Wikipedia's "Reliable Sources Section": contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced should be removed immediately and without discussion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.165.95.186 (talk) 21:51, 31 January 2022 (UTC)

Katherine Delmar Burke School
[edit]February 8
[edit]Hi SpinningCeres: Please view the talk section in the Katherine Delmar Burke's wiki where I am instructed to add in info specific to Burke's and using primary sources (the most reliable); I also added back in some secondary, please contribute to the talk section — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:645:8300:C6D0:218B:643D:B483:7A12 (talk) 23:10, 8 February 2022 (UTC)

[edit]I am not OK with the mass deletion you just did. I was doing good work and going in and sourcing before you reverted. Not OK. Please stop editing me. I've found you and others too heavy handed and asked for help at the tree house but they say since it's a user it's an admin complaint. Filing one on you seems like the most effective, so please stop. No threats. I'll do that since this is really counter productive and oddly personal.Factsforsure44 (talk) 17:01, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Factsforsure44: I just explained the revert on your talk page. I am going to be offline for the next few hours so I recommend discussing edits (without walls of text) on the article talk page. Please create new section headers when you post on my talk page. SpinningCeres 17:04, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
- As I think you requested, I cannot contribute to the talk page. I was completely available to discuss edits before I believed editors colluded to shut down good edits. I am not trusting what you say now. Factsforsure44 (talk) 17:09, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
@Factsforsure44: I forgot that auto confirmed requires three days, I apologize. Please use your talk page and ask the other two editors to refer there for discussion for now. SpinningCeres 17:14, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
