Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! -- Irn (talk) 22:02, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What happened in Couchsurfing?

[edit]

On the Couchsurfing page, you wrote that "The systematic creation of fraudulent membership profiles has continued through August 2014, with numerous locations across the globe registering rates of 50% or more." with a reference to this url which now 404s. Do you know more about this topic, or have a fresher source? I tried using Google Cache but to no avail. My interest is that I am doing research on the history of the competiton between couchsurfing and Airbnb, looking at how the competition has effected their sizes. I see a negative correlation in most markets, except the one where there was a big spike in signups in 2012. Would like to know more. Maximilianklein (talk) 23:20, 27 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
