I read the hyperlink you offered. That appears to apply to new articles about individuals (i.e., candidates for being the subject of a Wikipedia article) and not for adding people in a list. For example, if you look at the Wikipedia article on Glenville High School (where the creators of "Superman" went to school), there another "notable alumni" who, like the people you deleted from SHHS, are in red. So your edits do not appear to conform to Wikipedia standards nor are they universal. I can give you other examples, but I think you get the point. Please advise. P.S. Thanks. I don't know about the people you mentioned in your reply; however, Dr. Theodore Einstein, William Kahrl and Linda Rogoff are all who the listings said they were. You can Google all of them and find them (I assume you don't want me to include hyperlinks to them), plus Linda Rogoff is mentioned in the Wikipedia article for George Segal. As for "hyperlink," you inserted something that, when I clicked on it, took me to another article. That is what is generally considered to be a "hyperlink" and that is fairly how the Wikipedia article on hyperlinks may be read. Perhaps because I am relatively new to editing in Wikipedia, I was surprised to read your comment about vandalism on some Ohio sites. Do people log on & then trash the sites? Or does something else happen? (High school rivalries can run high in Ohio, which is actually why I asked where you went to school.) Also, is this the best way to communicate? For sourcing on Bill Kahrl, Ted Einstein & Linda Rogoff having attended SHHS, you can always look at the SHHS yearbooks. For Bill Kahrl, you can also check the Yale yearbook for 1968; for Ted Einstein, you can check the Harvard yearbook for 1969. These list the high schools they attended. I don't remember where Linda Rogoff went to college, but you can probably check her obituary in the Cleveland Plain Dealer from June of 1996 for verification that she went to SHHS. --Onesius (talk) 02:10, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

  • I am still working on the categorization matter. With any luck, we should have some results by the end of the month. There are also some discussions regarding project related activities at Wikipedia:WikiProject Christianity/General Forum. One issue in particular that might be addressed is possible elections of new coordinators. Anyone interested in serving in such a capacity is more than welcome to indicate as much.

Welcome to the Tenth issue of the WikiProject Christianity newsletter! Use this newsletter as a mechanism to inform yourselves about progress at the project and please be inspired to take more active roles in what we do.

It has been a long time since the last coordinators election. There is a lot for people to do, and I certainly would welcome seeing any individuals with an interest in such a position put themselves forward as candidates. I in particular would very much like to see some degree of "specialization" in the coordinators, so that, for instance, we might have someone knowledgable about some of the specific Christian faith traditions or other main subjects, like Orthodoxy, Lutheranism, Mormonism, the Jehovah's Witnesses, art, theology, and so on. If any parties who have experience with some of our faith- or- subject-based content would be interested in being candidates, I would love to see them do so. Please feel free to take part in the discussion regading what the minimum number of category items is, and how to deal with the non-qualifying categories, on the General Forum page.

WikiCup participates in the Wikipedia:The Great Wikipedia Dramaout

Hello all, iMatthew here. I just wanted to let you know about "The Great Wikipedia Dramaout" which starts this Saturday. The goal of the Dramaout is to spend five days working on improving articles and abstaining from any of Wikipedia's drama. I don't think that any of you will have a problem focusing on articles for five days, because of course, any work you get done during the Dramaout will count towards your score in the WikiCup.
