Copyrights, Reliable Sources, etc.

[edit]

Just a few comments about how Wikipedia works...just like everyone else, Wikipedia is subject to copyright laws. We can't cut-and-paste information from somewhere to Wikipedia, if we do it's considered a copyright violation and will be removed. Also, each registered editor is to represent themselves, not a group of people, not an institution. If anyone is editing as part of their job, or is being otherwise paid to edit, they need to disclose the potential conflict of interest.
Some other helpful links about sources to use include WP:RS, WP:PRIMARY, WP:INDEPENDENT, WP:SECONDARY, and Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources. These should help you get things done on the encyclopedia. Happy editing! — Jacona (talk) 13:39, 17 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
