User talk:Spectral Theorist
Welcome
[edit]Hello, and welcome here. I saw your comment on Talk:Polar decomposition. It's always good to have more mathematicians around. Do not hesitate to edit our articles; one of the guidelines here is to be bold. As you probably have already noticed, there is a link to Help in the left column of the screen where you can find useful information. Another resource is WikiProject Mathematics which is a grand name for a group of editors that like to work on maths articles. Questions related to mathematics can be put on the associated talk page, Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Mathematics; or you can ask me personally. Some of the people here that know functional analysis are User:CSTAR and User:Mct mht. Anyway, I hope you like it, that you find some time to contribute, but that you won't get addicted!

- Thanks for your encouragement, Jitse! If you know of any pages that need attention and fall within my area of expertise (spectral theory of differential operators, mathematical physics, operator theory, mathematical scattering theory, perturbations of spectra of self-adjoint operators), I'd be very happy if you point them out and I'll try to help. At the moment, I'm keeping an eye on the list of pages in category:spectral_theory.
